The offset mortise adaptor uses the same vertical bar and clamp system and this flexibility allows you to cut hinge recesses and the mortise for the strike plate in door frames less than 95mm thick, which is about 3.74". Go through the two items spec by spec. I can only speak to the item I bought and used. **Q: How thick a door will it accommodate???** A: The standard package will accommodate a door up to 2 1/4" (57.15 mm). For thicker doors there is a housing kit PSDBB/HK/S that will accommodate a door up to 5 1/2" (139.7 mm).
