Natural Value Pure Coconut Cream, 13.5 Ounce, (Pack of 12)

This review is for the cream, I have not tried the milk.I've bought this brand of coconut cream from Walmart and Amazon the last few years and found the product delicious and consistent.The coconut fat separates from the milk, so I put the can in hot water to melt the fat then shake it hard to re-mix, then use it in tea, coffee, baking, curries. Coconut fat melts at low temps so it only needs to get warm. You could put it in the sun. Sometimes, after the can warms up and most fat is at the surface, I put the can in a cool place so the fat solidifies again, then pull off that hunk of fat and bake with it. It has a great flavor. I call the remainder "half & half coconut" because it is still very creamy.I paid for 12pk/$25 a month ago. As of writing this today the price is 12pk/$45 from 3rd party sellers. I'll wait for the lower prices and buy again.I suspect some customer complaints about the product being 'chunky' are because they are used to fancier smoother product. I just don't have a problem with that because I shake and stir, and love the flavor.BTW, dip cinnamon graham crackers in coconut cream. Amazing dessert.

First time buying this coconut cream and it looks like curdled milk. Smells good, but it looks watered down and I had to blend it up before I could use it. I bought it to make soap with, so, I made my first batch yesterday so in a few days I'll cut it and see what happens. When they came, the box of coconut cream was in another box, but every can was dented. I read where others had the same problem, so someone needs to find out how this is happening and stop it! I don't think I'll buy this brand again, well see how it goes in my soaps.

This is a high quality coconut cream, but what truly frustrates me is every time I go to buy this they have moved the price up or down by $7. It's $33 one day and $40 the next. This makes it impossible to rely on this company or its product. I cannot plan my purchases because of this bizarre price movement. It's like the company is conducting a continuous market research project, just playing games with the price all the time. This is particularly frustrating since the company's competitor Native Forest has their 12 pack of coconut cream at $17.45 using Amazon Prime for shipping. Or you can buy the AROY-D coconut cream and you get 150% of the quantity of Natural Value at one-half the price. AROY-D does not contain guar gum, but they use a UHT heating process that I would prefer to not get.I want to be loyal to Natural Value, but I feel they are just yanking my chain. It wasn't enough for us to be paying 100% higher price than your competitor? You need to make it 150% higher than your competitor? Enough is enough, and I bought AROY-D.

Misleading advertising- ad said coconut cream, consistency is coconut milk - won’t buy again!

I bought this for the first time with a ten dollar discount that makes each can roughly $2.50. I have used a few cans so far, and I must say this is the best tasting canned coconut milk I've had. It tastes like actual coconut, whereas the others I've tried have tasted disgusting. When I first opened a can, I thought that this wasn't coconut cream. It was all watery and chunky at the bottom, but once I put it in the refrigerator, it was apparent that there was coconut cream and water in it. I could find the coconut oil "hardenings," and all of the good stuff found in coconut meat!With the fact that I paid ten dollars less for my first purchase, I don't think I'll buy this again for the full price. I think $2.50 a can is reasonable.

This makes a rich tasting Maesri masaman curry. I prefer the thicker sauce that this gives over the milk version.

Best coconut milk I have tried. Great cream consistency. No additives (guar gum). Highly recommend. Takes a bit longer to deliver, but worth the wait.

I love this brand of coconut products.Four of the cans were damaged. They are still usable. I am assuming it happened in shipping because it was the cans on one side of the box. The box still looked fine. Just thought the distributor would want to know.The pull tab open on the 1st can I used was very difficult to pull but I used a screw driver to leverage and was able to open it.
