This book offers support for those of us who receive the dreaded news...you have cancer. It is filled with daily readings of real-life experiences to support us emotionally when dealing with the fear and anxiety this diagnosis brings to us. I received it as a gift and found it so helpful to me. I have since purchased it twice as gifts to those who needed it.

On December 28, 2007, my world came to a crashing stop as I found the most precious thing in the world to me could be taken away. My wife and best friend of over 26 years had breast Cancer. This hit me especially hard because I had lost my mother to breast Cancer 15 years prior. Through five surgeries and 33 radiation treatments; emotional and spiritual strength was gained by both Leslie and myself from family and friends. I thank God for them.Then, Leslie found the book, "Praying Through Cancer" on Amazon when she was searching for a devotional to help her though her radiation times. This book meant the world to my wife who I will be celebrating our second year anniversary of being Cancer-free this month. Thank you, Jesus! This is our fifth order of 10 of these books. She writes a personal note in the cover and gives them to anyone; friends, family, friends of friends, strangers she meets in the store; that she finds has been diagnosed with Cancer. Feeling lost and totally floored by this recurrence of breast cancer I searched for ways to order my thoughts. This little book is a God sent treasure. Each day I read my experience in the words of the contributor for that day. I always I find messages of blessings and great comfort. These ladies have walked this path. I am so grateful for what they have shared. I must force myself to read only one devotional message at a time. I read over those I have already read to help through some renewed difficulty.

Bought this book to give to a family member but it had writing in it.

Powerful stories shared by women who are in the battle of fighting cancer. On the dark days of this journey it was a blessing to be able to read others thoughts and fears and I know I wasn't alone in my own. These stories helped me to remember God is in control and my relationship with Jesus only grew deeper as I leaned on Him for strength.

2018:Repurchased for another friend recently diagnosed based on my other's friends recommendation, I asked her what did she love that was given to her during her battle, and she recommended this and the book, Just Get Me Through This! by Deborah Cohen2015:Bought this for my best friend who battled breast cancer earlier this year in 2015. It was always right on target with her journey. She would tell me how great it was that whatever she was dealing with God would use the pages of this devotion to align with her journey through breast cancer. I a pleased to say she is free of cancer, and pray she and all other survivors remain that way!

I refer everyone to this book! Praying Through Cancer helped me to conquer fear and move forward in life. It is so overwhelming that you feel stuck in the morass of despondency that won't go away. This book, more than any other, helped me to focus on God and not on my situation. I still refer to it, occasionally when someone passes away and I'm feeling blue. 6 years later, I am Thriving. When, as a christian and diagnosed with breast cancer in October 2010, I wanted a book on cancer that I could read which showed it from a christian point of view.It does as the title says - SET YOUR HEART FREE FROM FEAR. This book, written by women who have experienced cancer in varying degrees was such an encouragement. Each daily reading had - a Bible verse, an account of the womans experience of cancer and her feelings towards her family and God, encouragement from God's Word, a short prayer and a final, practical thought. I could really relate to it, many of their experiences were far worse than mine, but it helped put my cancer into perspective and enabled me to hand it over to God.Suitable for family members too.Also suitable for guys as many of the cancer experiences apply to both sexes.

This is a book I have only just started reading, as I am only starting my chemo next Tue, but what I have read so far has made me want to read more - am trying to pace myself, so that it lasts through the chemo process

This is written by Perry's wife - as a Stage 2 breast cancer patient, I was eager to get my hands on some faith-based books to help me through surgery, chemo, and radiation. I ordered this prayer devotional and it was exactly what I needed at just the right time. God spoke to me each and every day, using this book to guide me, comfort me, and let me know that others had gone through exactly what I was going through. It made me laugh, it made me cry, and all the entries are written by wonderful Christian women who made it through cancer treatment while praising God at the same time. This book was so good, I read through it twice - once a day, for 6 months. I thank God He placed this book in my path. It is phenomenal.
