Best sound deadening product on the market!
If used a few other brands throughout the years and 6 years ago I tried Sound Skins. This is the only brand I will use now. I’ve done many vehicles, never fails, easy application, fair price for the highest quality. Rubber Butyl, aluminum and acoustic foam all one one roll. If you want the best, Sound Skin Pro is you answer.

Soundskin pro 🤟🏼
Soundskin pro is my fav sound treatment product. In my opinion much better than Dynamat or anything else out there. The acoustic foam helps absorbs sound waxes and dampen panels. I use all over the car. Floors, headliner, inner and outter door skin. My car doors sound rock hard no hollow noise. Even behind plastic door panels the foams acts as a cushion and prevents metal and plastic vibrations for a better sound. Great adhesive and Quality is shown when touching and feeling the product. I used a heat gun to ensure a great bond and it’s def not going anywhere once it’s rolled on. Deff helps to show off mid-bass and subwoofers when ur not listening to rattles everywhere. Helps improve to get you to the next level of your car audio system. Car is much quieter and has a luxury car feel. Now I really enjoy my Toyota Corolla with a high end audiophile audiofrog system the sound stays in the car around my ears right where I want it. Huge fan and won’t use anything else!!!

Good stuff but you’ll need more than they say
Good material. Works very well. Only grip is that the “one car kit” with 11 sq ft is enough to do two doors adequately. And thats on a compact car.

Superb product. Very easy to work with. Quiets
Really a joy to work with. Conforms easily to every nook and cranny and stretches easily when required. Adhesion is excellent. Will maintain proper moisture barrier. Acoustic foam is dense, but compresses well if required. A little less than .20 inches thick. Used on 2021 Subaru Crosstrek doors. Used Dynamat xtreme on outer door skin and this product on inner door skin (between inner door skin and interior trim panel). Car from factory had NO sound insulation in doors whatsoever. Bad road noise. Now doors are bank vault quiet. Very happy with results. Also upgraded speakers, and these sound insulation products create an outstanding speaker “cabinet”. Process makes a bigger improvement in stereo sound than any speaker upgrade would do frankly. Have previous experience with other sound deadening materials in car restorations.

Sound deadening for 2021 Golf GTI, it works!
I drive nearly 100 miles back and forth to work with my GTI and on long trips the extra road noise gets tiring. I love my GTI but holding conversations on the highway is just not that great and I have to turn up music once I'm on the highway. I looked at options to reduce roadnoise and decided to give Soundskins a try. My MK7 GTI has no carpet underneath the rear bench and also not in the trunk. Metal starts resonating and noise enters the cabin. As my tires began to wear out, they became more noisy so this slowly started to bother me too. First I took out the rear bench and cleaned out the trunk, then cleaned the metal surfaces with rubbing alcohol so the Soundskins would stick better. I used a strong scissor for cutting it and it went throughbit like butter. It took a good hour and half to cut strips and stick them in the trunk and under the rear bench. I took a test drive and the first thing I noticed was how the woofer sounded cleaner with better defined punch. Then as I started driving 30-40mph I noticed that there was barely any sound/noise coming to rear of the cabin. Previously tire and road noise were more prevalent and now all noise was mainly coming from the front of the car. I did not use a dB meter but the difference to me was clear. My girlfriend was curious and she heard that the cabin was less noisy than before due to absence of noise from the rear as well (yah!) Next step is to treat all four doors and then I will place as much of the Soundskins under the front carpet as possible. I'll update this review with photos and results! So far I only used a fraction of the 66sqft role. I think 66 may be a bit too much for a small car like the GTI! 02/28/23 Added the driver door as well and watched a YouTube video of a guy taking the door trim off in 5min or less. It was a blood drawing and cussing event which took an hour but eventually that hurdle was cleared as well. I noticed the effect immediately in that less sound from the outside came in from the side of the car. Like another reviewer mentioned, passing cars now sound like "WHIFFF" and previously there was more tire noise and grunt from passing cars. As the car becomes more quiet, I'm starting to hear wind noise from the windows which I never heard before because all other noise was louder. When I have more time I'll finish the remaining three doors. Oh yes, definitely use this material on the inside of the door as well, as it prevents resonating and vibrating sounds. When I knock on the finished door it sounds like a "THUD" without echo. The unfinished door clearly sounds hollow. That's the best way that I can describe it. It is a lot of work but the results are definitely worth the effort. By the way, it is not necessary to cover surfaces for 100%. The main reason is that this material prevents the metal surfaces from resonating and causing high pitched white noise. That being said, I have so much material that I try to cover as much of the metal surfaces as possible. UPDATE 03/04/23 Completed left and right front door and did a more thorough job on the inside of the right door and the difference in tire and road noise is just incredible. Previously at low speeds below 30mph the tire noise made itself known quite a bit but with two front doors completed, I can barely hear it. At speeds from 50-70mph I don't even hear increase in tire or road noise, that's how well it quiets down the cabin. The next and final step is the two rear doors and then this project is done. I cannot say anything other than good things about Soundskins, the reduction in cabin noise exceeds my expectation by far. It takes a lot of work but it is so much worth the effort in creating a quiet cabin where music sounds better and conversations no longer require raising your voice. I think I used 1/3 of the material so far. All right, another day of work, it took about 7h to complete the remaining three doors today and I have about half of the Soundskins material left. Also be sure to get one of those rollers to roll over the material for the best possible contact with the metal.

Best stuff I've used
I've used other types and brands of sound proofing. This is flexible & sticks really well. Sound deadening is very good. I bought this bases on another review and I'm glad I did. I had enough ,but always buy more than you expect you will need. This type of product never goes as far as you expect it to.

This product is great
I upgraded my windows from crank windows to electric windows. While I had it apart I installed Soundskins to help deaden the road noise, provide a vapor barrier, and help with my sound system. The product was easy to install and has dramatically reduced the road noise. I was thinking about replacing the door speakers but now that I have the sound skins installed the speakers sound great! they sound more clear, vibrant, and there seams to be less distortion. I plan to replace the carpet and headliner and when I do that I will use Soundskins. It was a little expensive but well worth the money
