Might be the best watch… ever.
Possibly the perfect watch. Easy to read display and light. Great functions. Lightweight and comfortable to wear. Tough solar to keep charged and multiband 6 for accurate timekeeping. Love it. Excellent value too!

Set it and forget it — solar & atomic is worth it
This is easily one of the most practical watches I’ve owned. The solar charging is a game changer — no worrying about battery changes. As long as it gets some light, it just keeps going. The atomic timekeeping is another big plus. It updates itself, so it’s always accurate without you having to mess with it. It still has that classic G-Shock toughness, so I don’t think twice about wearing it to work, the gym, or outside. It’s durable, lightweight, and more low-profile than some of the bigger G-Shocks, which I actually prefer. The display is clean and easy to read, and once you learn the buttons, everything is straightforward. If you want a tough everyday watch that basically runs itself, this is a solid upgrade over the standard models.

Perhaps the Perfect Digital Watch
This is perhaps as close to a perfect digital watch as you can get. Besides the toughness of a G=Shock, it's got all the daily features one may need (alarm - which you can set up to 5, stopwatch and countdown timer). It also has world time, which is a nice feature to have when travelling. When in stop watch and time modes, the current time is displayed in the upper right corner of the display where the date normally is. It's solar powered, and the display shows how much power the watch has. Multi-band 6 is another feature, so it automatically sets the time once it receives a signal from an atomic clock transmitter. YMMV with this feature though. I have difficulty receiving the signal being on the U.S. east coast (the transmitter is in Colorado). There are phone apps you can use to strengthen the signal if normal reception fails. Despite this, it can be manually set if needed. Visibility of the display is an upgrade over the DW-5600. It's more clear, and more visible at different viewing angles. The standard backlight is now LED instead of the classic electroluminescence. Some prefer the latter. This may or may not be a deal breaker based on personal preference, but considering what this watch has to offer, it should only be a consideration in the bigger picture. The watch offers a great fit for G-Shock. With its slim profile, it lacks the bulk of many of the other G-Shock models out there. It's very comfortable to wear on different size wrists, though the strap may not be everyone's cup of tea. The design is very much retro, harkening back to the 1983 original square with the red border. For the price of this watch, it really is a great value. It's also possibly the only digital watch you'll ever need unless you want other functions like tides, barometers, etc. In my collection, this watch is one of my favorites. There's a good chance it will become one of yours too.

Best Watch Ever Made
I am a watch collector. I have about 50 watches - of all different sorts: automatic, quartz, analog, digital, high-end (luxury - like omega) and low-end (timex). This watch is hands-down the best watch in my collection. Sure I wouldn’t wear it with a suit. But in literally every other occasion this watch is perfect. It’s always accurate to the second - you never have to set it. And it syncs really well with atomic time (here in the US and in the UK from my experience). Also the world time feature is perfect when traveling - simply push the top two buttons in world time mode to switch the new time zone to your current time zone. Its button configuration is perfect compared to other digital watches. And the battery will last basically indefinitely. Perhaps you might need to add a new solar powered watch battery replacement once in your lifetime if the battery stops taking any charge. The stopwatch and timer are useful for me daily. And the hourly signal on the alarm mode is great when you want to be more mindful of the time. Sure Casio makes other similarly functioned watches that are just as fun. But I think where this reigns supreme over those is its classic design, perfect functionality and button layout, and its size. And it beats a smart watch in terms of battery life, durability, and reliability. I promise you won’t dislike this watch - unless you think the design is ugly… which I understand if you do. But give it a chance and you might discover the joy and security this watch gives me.

Most practical watch
I'm a watch collector and I enjoy classic men's watches. One thing that I can't stand is that no matter where you turn around you always see bunch of people with the same exact smart watch of a certain brand on their wrists. So boring. So cliche. So annoying. As the phones aren't enough. Anyway, excluding this Casio that I bought last year out of nostalgia, I have 6 other watches with combined value of $30K: a Sea Dweller, a Seamaster, an Aquaracer, a Seiko Cpt Willard, a Seiko Arnie and a Citizen Nighthawk. Yet I wear this cheap $100 Casio most of the time - when I'm outdoors, when I'm at home, in a pool ..... - Virtually 90% of the the time and situations that don't warrant wearing a luxury/dressy watch. That says enough how much I like this retro looking G-Shock! It's by far the most practical watch I have and it has all the features you would want in an EDC watch: toughness, solar power, waterproof, alarm, timer, date, light, multiple times zones... I highly recommend it for men of all ages, backgrounds and lines of work.

The perfect "set it and forget it" watch
I finally decided to swap my smartwatch for something simpler, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with this G-Shock. The best part is definitely the zero maintenance aspect. Since it's solar powered, I don't have to worry about charging it or swapping batteries. It also has Multiband 6, which basically means it syncs with atomic clocks every night (assuming you're in range of the broadcast tower and have good signal). It is literally never off by even a second. If you’re someone who values total accuracy but wants to go a bit more analog, this is definitely the one. It’s as rugged as you’d expect. I’ve already taken it to a water park and beat it around quite a bit, but it still looks brand new. It’s nice having something on my wrist that I don't have to baby or worry about scratching. The only real downside is that the buttons are pretty recessed, so they can be a bit of a pain to press. You kind of have to use your fingernail to get them to click. It’s a small trade-off for the durability, but worth mentioning if you have bigger hands. Overall, if you want a bulletproof watch that’s always accurate and never needs a charge, you can’t really beat this classic.

Great Watch!
Excellent watch. Extremely low profile considering all of its features: Six-band atomic clock reception around the world, 200 meter water resistance, stopwatch, timer, alarm, shock resistance and you hardly notice you’re wearing it! If you buy this watch scan the QR code in the English portion of the instruction manual. It provides a much more clear explanation of how to use the watch’s features. Not bulky but loaded with stand-alone features. It’s not dependent upon a cell phone for anything it provides and it charges with any light source. It’s awesome!

An Excellent G-Shock for less money!
This is one of the best G-Shocks ever made. I highly recommend this watch to everyone. First of all, a few things need to be mentioned. (1) This product's title says it is the old version of this watch, which is GWM5610-1. However, as of 12/6/2022 what you get in the mail is the updated version of this watch, which is GWM5610U-1 with the updated module 3495. You can verify this with the photos I have attached with my review. This is definitely a pleasant surprise and a great thing in my opinion. The updated module 3495 brings some great functionalities compared to the old one, while retaining all the good things about the old one. There are plenty of videos, articles, and reviews under this very own product going into detail about what are the new features that come with the module 3495. Therefore, I'm not going to talk much about it. (2) As I mentioned above, this watch comes with the updated module 3495. As you can see in my photos, it no longer has the old Electro-Luminescent Backlight system. Instead, this new module has a nice clean white LED backlight, which looks super clean in my opinion. Also, the Automatic Light (LT) function works perfectly when you're in dark conditions. (3) The watch I had before this was the GW-M5610-1BJF, which is the darker cousin of this watch with the negative display. I bought that watch thinking the negative display is so much cooler than the positive display of this watch. Soon after I got that watch, I realized how difficult it is to read that negative display. Unless you're looking at it at the perfect angle and under bright lighting, it is really difficult to read that display. So, I ended up returning that and buying this watch for even cheaper around $80. The moment I picked up this watch I realized how crystal clear the display of this watch is. I have no problem reading the display at a quick glance even under very dim lighting without the backlighting. If you've turned on the auto backlight (LT) function or manually press the "light" button, you'll never have trouble reading the time on this amazing display. (4) As I mentioned above, I initially went with the GW-M5610-1BJF instead of this watch, thinking this watch doesn't look that exciting and cool compared to the GW-M5610-1BJF with the negative display. But very soon I realized that I was completely wrong. The photos you see of this watch don't do justice to its absolute beauty. I wasn't sure if I was gonna like the red color line that goes around the display at the time of purchasing this watch. But as soon as I opened the box and picked it up, I immediately fell in love with it. This watch looks fantastic in person. If you're hesitant to buy this watch because of the terrible photos attached by the seller under this listing, I guarantee you that this is gonna look fantastic in person. In conclusion, I highly recommend this to everyone. It's hard not to love this watch no matter who you are. If you're a G-Shock square fan like myself, then you've got no excuse to not own one of these. I tried my best to attach clearer, unedited photos of the watch with my review, so that you can see its beauty under regular lighting in real life. I hope it helps. Believe me, you're going to love this watch. It's impossible not to fall in love with this. :)

Brilliant G-Shock Square
I had the basic DW5600 REC-9 (yellow) but l somehow felt it lacked features like the solar charging or multiple world time capabilities. Hence after some research got this beast. Love the size, features and even quality. For instance the band is so much softer and premium feeling than the regular DW5600 series. However I missed the pop colour of my DW series and hence got some red bands which complement the red highlight in the display. One thing I would like to highlight that this is the updated GW-M5610U with the new 3495 module and white LED. I got this thinking it was the older module as I love the old Green EL backlight, however it is what it is and makes my DW still makes its case for a spot in my collection. Overall it’s a great buy and a must have G-Shock square for any watch enthusiasts or G-Shock collector.

The only watch you'll ever need
This is a set-and-forget watch. You only need to set it up, and because it's radio-controlled, changes happen automatically when daylight savings arrives. It is a joy to wear: comfortable, not too bulky, and it can be combined with a variety of casual/ work outfits. The back light is of the blue electro-luminiscent type, which is amazing and provides full view of the data on screen. It charges itself with sunlight, so say goodbye to battery changes whatsoever. Only downside, the strap might be too short for for those with bigger wrists. Mine is 6.5 inches wide, and I need to insert the pin in the 3rd hole of the strap. Frankly, I find it a bit too short. Amazon runs killer deals on this watch every so often and I was lucky to grab it at a great price. This is the only G-Shock you will ever need.

Recomendado.
