Last week (May 2017) the rear hob began giving an error and will not function with the same pans I have been using since the start. Now, the front hob is giving an error signal intermittently during cooking. The unit has performed well up until these failures, but 18 months is a short life for a double induction hob that cost me over $400.00. I am very satisfied with this item. It works very well. Unfortunately the two burners are very close together, so using both burners at the same time is limited to two small pots. But when using one sauté pan or one large pot, it works great. Another disadvantage - as my daughter says "That thing beeps a lot!" It beeps loudly every time you push a button. It beeps when the unit is on and you remove the pan from the burner. Also, the fan is a bit loud. But as you can see, I gave it 4 stars.
