Volcom Big Boys' Creature Hood Backpack

Our youngest is obsessed with sharks and right before school started (and countless hours of Shark Week) I did a search to see if I could find a shark backpack and low an behold I did. Our little guy is in 3rd grade so he doesn't need a huge or heavy duty backpack but this serves its purpose. It's a good size for his age group. The quality is good and there is no sign of wear or unraveling at the seams. I like that there is a pocket just for the hood so it's out of sight unless he wants to use it. I like too that it's different from the norm. In a sea of kids, it's nice to be able to spot my kid by his backpack.

Neat design but fits very little. Purchased for my child who had just started Middle School. Half of the books wouldn't fit no matter how hard we tried to squeeze them in. The rounded top also contributes to that problem . We had to buy a different backpack. This one hangs idly in the closet. It's a shame because the concept is fun.

Cute back pack. Bought for my 8 y/o and 10 y/o sons. They love it. Hoodie fits inside of the pocket at the top of the backpack. However, the pocket (stuffed with the hoodie) takes up us space inside of the backpack. Not a problem for my 8 y/o but it bothers my 10 y/o (pushes up against his back) so he just leave the hoodie out at all times. Still a super cute backpack.

This bag looks really cool. But it is too small for an older kid for school. It's a very small back pack and would probably only work as a weekend bag or for a very young child. Unfortunately I have to return this and get something bigger.
