Very easy to install and works great.

So as long as you scan the bar code it brings up all information on your specific install! ( very helpful) the only difference between the 2009 Dodge Ram install video online and your 2008 is the placement( location) of your ignition switch- 2008 is on the steering column. So instead of taking the bottom panel off you take the steering column plastic off with a #20 Torx wrench I suggest a long T style or just a long bit as if you try to use a short bit the wrench itself that holds the bit will not fit up inside the steering column for two screws. Once you get the plastic removed the directions are as online - just follow the directions from the bar code on your box and you can’t go wrong. Once I got past the Torx wrench issue I had it working in 15 minutes then it’s just placement of the system below the steering column and securing of the wires you don’t use then put the column back together. Very easy very quick and works like a charm and as stated! Well worth the money and sooooo easy to install! I bought the system in July and procrastinated until 11/9/22 with snow all around and cold as hell -before install as I feared the install - don’t fear the install is all I can say!

So i have a 2008 dodge ram 1500. bought this for my wife because she's a pansy. I read on the 1 star review that you need to provide all this information extra information to get instructions. That's not correct. I "believe" this person clicked on the extended warrenty trying to get the instructions. i did the same before i realized it. then i got my instructions right off the web no issues, no extra info required, or money either. now install was easy. 2 7mm bolts and 3 t-15 torx. you need a screwdriver for my vehicle because a torx socket does not reach far enough to get 1 screw. (unless you have a long torx then you might be ok. after that everything pops off. unclip 1 plug from the ignition control model. (my vehicle right above the key) follow the directions easy as pie. I did have to redo it a couple of times from my own mistake/nothing wrote about it anywhere. there is an on/off switch wired on mine. and after reprogramming it a couple of times and testing it 15 times i went huh maybe i should flip that switch... yeah worked right after that. So, if yours doesn't work right away try that. may be your problem. i spent more time finding a t-15 screw driver than i did doing the whole project. it's 12-19-2023 right now, if it dies i'll update, but hoping it works for a while.

The media could not be loaded. Installed on my 2008 Ram 1500. Installation was a breeze. Dropped the knee bolster (2x 8mm screws) and removed the shround on the steering column (4x torx bits) plugged the remote start module in and followed the programming instructions (hold the button on the module until the light flashes, turn key on, turn key off) and reinstalled everything in fifteen minutes. The instructions are attatched to a QR code inside of the box. I didn't need them for install, but I did need them for programming. 5/5 Would recommend to anyone. Used this to replace my old Viper System. Much happier with this.

I purchased the B-1627-195 remote starter for my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. The unit arrived in a box with wire harness, receipt and instruction sheet. The instruction sheet directed me to a "Mypushcart" website to get detailed installation instructions and a wire diagram. In order to access it I had to enter my name, email and vehicle information. The instructions were in pdf format with pictures and very descriptive. The link to the wiring diagram did not work and when I contacted customer service the were prompt, apologized and said that my unit was plug and play therefore did not require wiring diagrams to connect. I did not know what to expect but the install was very easy and as recommended tested it before putting back together all the trim pieces from the dashboard. The unit worked very well right away. The instructions (from the website) were spot on regarding activating the device. I am so glad to use my factory remote and not have to have another fob. I only gave it 4 stars because I think the wire harness could have been a little longer on the key branch. It was difficult to get the wire to go somewhere that it would not get caught in the tilt mechanism or fit behind the trim molding. The space around the steering column does not allow much room and after several zip ties and some creative 'tucking' I was able to get the clam-shell around the column. I would rather have too much wire that I can zip tie than too short that creates it's own problems. With a little patience it works great.

This product wants ALL of your personal information first and last name, street address, phone number, email address order number make and model of vehicle and place of purchase, all of this just so you can download the installation instructions.All they actually need is make and model of vehicle and model of unit and a email to send it too, anything else is unethical and suspicious.Their is no stated privacy policy and I have no idea what they need it all for or what they do with the info, they state it’s part of a going green policy to save paper by not printing instructions but then they put advertisements for other products they sell in the box.When I contacted tech support to tell them I’m not giving them all of that information they then told me if I give them all of my information they would fill in the form for me. Not going to happen.Their is something fishy here and I don’t like it. And I still don’t have installation instructions for a product I spent good money on.
