Will this work on a 24volt vehicle as all the specs say is car charger

No it won't. I sent this back as it didn't work with anything . Whole set up very confusing . Buy yourself something else!

Is this good for truck driving

We have one fitted in one of our cars. There is a "manual" that comes with the device. To describe the latter as Mickey Mouse would be a little unkind to the Disney character. However, if one can figure things out then it is generally fine. It can send you along some narrow minor roads and so you may have to specify routes for your lorry taking that into account. However, if you don't like the look of a road once you turn away the device recalculates the route. As we discovered recently it also has the capability to recognise congestion maybe by using an algorithm. This means that you can stay on the route as planned or accept a suggestion of an alternate route. We opted for a female voice to give advance directions and find that it is best to use full volume. I notice that another respondent to your question has had a bad experience. This maybe due to the need to put in a recognisable destination which is easy to get wrong when using postcodes.
