Lamy Safari Fountain Pen, Charcoal

This was my gift to my father, he loves it. He is a doctor and he enjoys a good pen. There is no such thing as to adaptating to this pen, it literally fits in between your fingers.

This is the best starting fountain pen as a writing instrument. Lamy are the best ones. I love this pen and writes smooth. Value of Money.

It writes wonderfully straight out of the box. Those buying this would do well to note the difference between American and European nibs vis-a-vis Japanese nibs. Japanese nibs write thinner, so choose accordingly. I happily made the correct choice and have not been disappointed. I do miss the narrow cardboard sleeve though that Lamy generally ships their pens in. This one came in a slightly bigger box, with a warranty from WilliamPenn for 2 years so I am not complaining! Overall, an excellent buy and much better than many high-end instruments.

Something is good, something is bad.... 1. This pen is awesome, touch and feel is great. 2. Made from ABS plastic...its tough. 3. Nicely balanced. 4. Ink converter is rotating type better than piston type. 5. I personally don't like looks of pen, it feels cheap. If i am investing this much, i wan't some aesthetic also. (This is my personal opinion) 6. Delivery time taken by M/s. Aadhya sales Corporation, whom i paid Rs 45 as delivery charge and he took 8 days to deliver from Delhi to Bangalore. Lamy is the best for the cost. Great packaging and suprisingly had a converter which is mentioned by the retail manufacter that it does not have and you have to buy seperately. The charcoal finish is extremely good and so is the black nib. Looks classy with black accessories on your hand. Using lamy ink which is as good as the pen. Cheers.

it comes with one blue ink not black and blue as it mentioned! so you have to buy a black ink if you like the black style

I like everything about this pen for it's price . This pen wrote right away . It writes smoothly , is very discreet because of the all black . And is well built as is true with all lamy safaris . Some things to keep in mind if this is your first fountain pen : -Flush this pen out with water before using it for the first time . -this pen comes with one single blue ink cartridge. You can buy more cartridges or you can get a Z24 lamy cartridge converter for bottled ink -this pen will not accept standard international cartridges or converters . You can't simply search for a "fountain pen converter" -to get the best writing experience, you will need to have high quality fountain pen friendly paper . Something like rhodia, clairfontaine or tomoe river to name a few . Now if you are a seasoned fountain pen user , this part is for you . This colour will go great with any collection . I love the non shiny look of this . The pen is light, posted. I have never had any hard starts or railroading while using a fine nib . It is one of my daily writers . The cap closure is s snap cap . It's not the strongest hold , but it hasn't popped off on me after months of use . I recommend this as a gift or to anyone looking to expand a fountain pen collection.

Solide et d'utilisation agréable

Literally the best pen I have ever owned. The tactile feedback from the nib of the fountain pen just makes the writing experience 10x better. Also the pen just looks absolutely magnificent.
