How long is the flexible gooseneck, starting from the center of the base with it bent at 90 degrees? Thanks!

The shaft of the gooseneck is 4 5/8" long. When assembled, the back of the phone is 8 3/4" from the windshield (max with the bendable shaft in the straight position).

Will it accommodate the iPhone X?

Yes, It will I have iPhone X. I think it can fit any phone, because your able to adjust it accordingly.

Can I use the long arm windshield version as a long arm dashboard version?

I couldn't use it for a dashboard version because it wouldn't stick to the plastic on my dash.

Can it hold a iPhone 6 plus with case?

This opens to 4 inches across. You must then close it against the sides of your phone to hold it securely. I close mine about 1/4 inch after the "wings" touch the sides of my phone. If you phone plus case is about 4 inches or less wide, it should work.
