Everything a teen guy needs to know to be cool, collected, and competent There's a lot a guy needs to know as he grows up and makes his way in the world. And a lot of it, he wouldn't necessarily want to have to ask about because then, well, people would know he didn't know what he was doing! For all the guys out there who want to have it all together, Jonathan Catherman offers this collection of one hundred step-by-step instructions on almost everything a guy needs to know, including how to โ wear cologne correctly โ manage a credit card โ talk to a girl โ write a rรฉsumรฉ โ clean a bathroom โ throw a football โ change a tire โ tie a tie โ grill a steak โ and much more! With great illustrations and a supporting website, this all-in-one reference tool for young men in the making is the perfect gift for birthdays, graduations, Christmas, and holidays. Review: Great gift! - Gave this to my grandson for Christmas, and when asked what was his favorite gift, he said it was this book. And we gave him more than just that book. Before we wrapped it and sent it off to him, I read through it here and there, and I would highly recommend this book. Review: Very detailed on each subject - Basic knowledge that seems to escape the younger generation since they have not been exposed to quite a bit. It provides a good basis and what to do in certain situations I would recommend as far as a teen becoming a young adult a necessity

Good gift on the side
I purchased this as a birthday gift on the side for my 18 year old son. While he wasn't overly impressed...I was! I believe he will come to appreciate all the different topics/solutions in this book. While some of them are silly...there is a lot of good information in there!

Great book! My wife and I recently gave it ...
Great book! My wife and I recently gave it to our youngest son for his 18th birthday. A "side" gift among others. The contents of this work is quite interesting and is presented in such a way as to not "offend" (as if...) the "ever-evolving" sensibilities of a "newly minted" adult ;) Lite approachable read, but highly valuable reinforcement of reasonable, and wise approaches to certain issues they typically face. It's often beneficial to allow our good intentions and desire for positive growth of our young men to be reiterated though "positive" alternate sources that won't likely seem like "mom and dad wisdom rhetoric" to the young man. This book is definitely one of those alternative sources that preaches something good but doesn't sound "preachy." More like words from a wise older brother. It's format "as a manual" is both ironic and easy. Actually happened to notice him "surreptitiously" reading it on several occasions. Good stuff.

There is better out there
Iโve taken advantage of a 97% discount for this one (less than a dollar), otherwise Iโd be really really pissed of having bought it. I know there are people out there who need this simple list of instructions on different matters but I expected it to add something or maybe be more detailed and graphical. As I mentioned, there are certainly better material out there to โteachโ those things to guys if not their fathers.

Excellent!!! Perfect gift!
I bought this for my son for Christmas. So heโs yet to read it, but my coworkers and I went through the book one day (as well as surviving middle school) and we had quite a laugh and might even have learnt a thing or two. It will be a great resource for my almost teenage boy and even has a few things I will need as a single mom (changing a tire etc). Very well written, itโs an easy read, it covers the basics and then some. Would recommend this and have actually to several coworkers and friends.

Slightly western
Slightly western. Your son should be mature enough to distinguish western and Indian culture.
