Florida's Fabulous Butterflies (Florida's Fabulous Series Vol 2) Paperback – January 1, 1997

I (Jo not Kim) used this butterfly book during Grandma Camp in August 2021 with 3 young grands. This volume was colorful enough to attract the 4 yr old, detailed enough without being boring to enthrall the technical detail-oriented super intelligent 8 yr old, and artistic enough to thrill the 6 yr old artist!! At the same time, Grandma (me!!) felt soothed by the beauty and splendor, during 5 days with 3 very active and chatty grands . Forget Calgon take me away......just buy this book ; )

Bought this to have a quick reference to what I'm seeing in my yard. It's a nice reference guide with good images.

Very thorough, well written, great photos, can’t say enough good about this book. We were new to raising Monarchs when we got the book, and it has guided us through the process. We refer to the book every day to identify other visitors to our garden, and now also have host plants for Zebra Longwings, Gulf Fritillaries, and several of the swallowtails. Have also gotten copies for friends and family, and they love and use it, too. If you want to get serious about bringing butterflies to your garden, or if you’re just curious about what that big yellow and black thing on the plumbago is, get this book!

This book was a gift to my new neighbor who recently moved to my Florida neighborhood from Chicago.She expressed an interest in butterflies during a recent conversation. I have had the same interest for about 10years, and this book has been my "go-to" for all those years! I have observed and photographed 44 species here in my own yard, and the photo above features our Florida state butterfly, the Zebra Longwing! As this wonderful book states, "The more you know, the more you see!"

This is one of my absolute favorite butterfly books. I never get tired of flipping through it!!! The photos are beautiful and it is very easy to read. It doesn't contain the standard identification information as some books do, but that's what makes it even more special. I am an avid Florida butterfly gardener and this is the first book I grab when trying to show a visitor what a particular butterfly species looks like. I have purchased several of these books as gifts and I think it is a wonderful book for anyone with interest in Florida butterflies or gardening.

Came across this book series in a gift shop where they were only a few more bucks there than on here. This book series is by no means a complete field guide for the topic in question. However, it is an excellent, entertaining, informative detailed overview. For me, a great coffee table book; at the same time a great quick-reference. The photography is excellent, usually performed by a seasoned photographer in the respective field. The narration & descriptive information is provided, typically, by another expert in the field, including professors, etc.
