Buy Teeny-Tiny Mochimochi: More Than 40 Itty-Bitty Minis to Knit, Wear, and Give Illustrated by Anna Hrachovec (ISBN: 9780823026920) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: So cute! - Full disclosure, I love using Double Pointed Needles and all these patterns are made in the round, with some parts worked back and forth on DPNs. I saw some of Anna Hrachovec's patterns on Ravelry and had to make them, they're adorable! She has some free patterns on her website, so I made them first and fell in love with how simple they ended up being. So I bought this book with some christmas money. I've been using it, on and off, since 2016 and I keep coming back to it to whip something up in about two or three hours. (And I am not a fast knitter!) The patterns are nicely laid out in categories, with the actual instructions written with each row as it's own paragraph or multiple rows written like: row 6-10: work stockinette. I find it easy to keep my place with a bookmark or sticky note. The text is clear, but small, (I estimate it at 10 or 11 in font size), so bear that in mind if small text is hard for you to read. It's sans serif. I honestly believe that an adventurous beginning knitter would find this book really fun. You'd have to have the basics of knitting, but you could learn to knit in the round using these patterns. Because there's only a few stitches, you can get a lot of practice for a small amount of yarn. You don't really need to worry too much about matching gauge, just use a needle that's one size smaller than the size on the yarn band. I've made most of mine using DK and 2.5mm needles, even though the pattern calls for sock weight or 4 ply. What I think makes this book great for beginners and advanced knitters alike is that the patterns are so quick to finish. It's a real gem for that completed project satisfaction. And the finished objects make such great gifts! I've already modified a lot of the ideas I found in this book for other tiny knits. Highly recommended. Review: tiny knits but massive value - Well this book is outstanding in content quantity and design. I highly recommend this if you like tiny knitting. Fantastic

Teeny Tiny Mochimochi
It's all the fault of the Charity Smoothie campaign that I found this book and now I'm hooked! Having to knit tiny things to fit over a Smoothie bottle cap was a challenge and then then I found this book. I found the instructions so simple and easy to follow - they are clear and precise, have diagrams where needed and the results are fabulous! I particularly love the little people and the bride and groom were just too precious for words!!!! Whilst the patterns suggest various yarns you could use, I personally found that embroidery thread gave the little people a smoother finished aspect, whilst the wool yarn made the animals more fluffy and cuter! Not easy to explain but my suggestion is to experiment with different yarns to find out which yarns you prefer for each tiny creation. This book definitely caught my imagination and helped me experiment - a definite "must have" for any toy knitter! Go on - create your own universe in miniature! You know you want to LOL!!!!

Great cute knitting book of tiny things
I've bought individual patterns from Anna Hrachovec's site in the past and decided I wanted more in the form of her book. The tiny scale, multiple knitting needles and colour changes means this isn't suitable for a complete beginner however the patterns aren't too hard. From this book I've made the Christmas tree, chicken, gnome and bride and groom. I personalized the bride and groom and gave them as a wedding present. The couple really liked them and included them in the wedding photo album. I wouldn't make all the patterns (I'm not bothered about knitting tiny fried eggs) but there is enough in here that I'm still going to make more from the book. The patterns are clear and I haven't found any problems with them. I'd suggest people first have a look on Anna Hrachovec's website and make one of her patterns (free or purchased) to see if they like her style and if they're comfortable knitting so small. Otherwise I would recommend this book.

Super cute presents - good buy
A bit fiddly for first few couple of rows until established but well worth the effort- bamboo or Knitpro needles help, especially if you have arthritis. Have made several items and patterns have all proved to be accurate and well written with good illustrations of required techniques. Nice not having to seam articles which at these sizes would make them very bulky. Anna also has a website from which you can occasionally get free patterns. For 'people' I sometimes use embroidery thread for hair which offers wide colour range and looks realistic; for a frizzy/curly look use knitting yarn and separate the plies. On the first one I made my granddaughter pulled the I-cord arm out so I now catch arms and legs to body when I weave the end thread back through. If you have trouble pulling I-cords through make channel bigger with a larger knitting needle. One of my best knitting book buys.

Teeny tiny!
Amused myself knitting teeny tiny bunnies and gnomes, easy to understand patterns and lovely pictures. I bought the e-version so I can use it on my iPad, works well like that.

Uses DPNs
I didn't realise they were going to need DPNs so making these has been my first affair with them. That was much easier than I expected! Some very cute designs that make for very quick knits.

I had the good fortune to take a class from the author and she showed us an advance copy of the book. I bought it the day it came out and love it. The author explains well and includes a lot of detail. The photos are very clear and make completing the projects easier. I am just an intermediate knitter and have made three projects successfully. The projects in the book are varied and very cute. The projects were given as gifts (one made into a ring, one an ornament, and one for a dollhouse) and were fun to give. The recipients were all very pleased. Knitting tinies is a fun break from large projects and they make really good gifts. They are charming and make people feel special, but take surprisingly little time to knit.
