Works Good
Bought this to replace the old, corroded outlet in my 1987 Bass Tracker. This 1 has a wider diameter, so I had to made the hole in the mounting plate a little bigger. So far, it's been a good replacement part. The plastic casing should help resist rust & corrosion better than the original 1.

Lights up, looks nice, it works…..
Needed a replacement for my boat. This one lights up, it looks nice and it works. Three things the old one didn’t do anymore. I wasted some time on the install because I did a lot of other wiring on the boat at the same time, so when it didn’t work I didn’t realize right away that it was defective and checked all my other work before noticing it was a defective socket. The positive terminal had a bad solder joint causing it to not work, I bought another and returned the defective one and works as it should. I couldn’t say if it’s a bad design or not as sometimes things just happen. Pay attention to the diameter of the unit though because this one was larger than the old one so I had to enlarge the hole. To do that I used a hole saw and to keep it centered I used the old receptacle bolted in the center of the hole saw in place of the usual drill bit. Because I was going through plastic I cut the hole slowly and carefully and the installation looks flawless. I can now charge my phone or spotlight in the boat again. So far, even with the small hiccup that cost me a little time, I am pleased with the product.

Lighter socket works great on golf cart. I use the outlet to supply power to fan.

This item is as described and worked fine. However I planned on using it to replace the old cigarette lighter on my 2005 Electra Glide. It's to large to fit in the original hole in the fairing. I decided not to cut a larger hole and went with oem style cigarette lighter.

Rubbish
Worked for a couple of days and then the lights stopped working on it,socket still works but that’s not the point.Don’t buy it’s rubbish.

Robustness is the key to a secure connection!
Installed in my motorcycle top-box. Will charge Nokia phone whilst on the move. I just know it will work fine!
