Lasted Longer Than My Laptop
I got this for my 15” gaming laptop about three-five years ago, and it still works beautifully!I love the angle and fan speed choices. It’s outlasted two of my laptops during this time, and will likely outlast at least a third based on its current performance. It keeps my laptop cool even after hours of use, is pretty quiet on the lower speeds and is still relatively quiet on higher speeds (about an average tabletop fan noise, I’d say). It’s bulky to carry around, but that’s kind of a given with most gaming equipment. It also had some rough edges when I first bought it, and is a little clunky in design. However, the edges aren’t sharp enough to cut, just a bit uncomfortable if you scrape against them too hard - usually I run into this problem if I’m using a smaller table/desk or my lap, so if you’re using a standard desk then you probably won’t have issues. They also have worn down with age, so they’re not as much of an issue anymore anyway.

Excellent quality, works very well on 4070ti MSI gaming laptop.
There are better yes, but for much more cost. For the cost this keeps my MSI Gaming laptop cool enough to play for long hours. Functions well, have had for over a year and not 1 problem from it so far. For a excellent mid grade you couldnt go wrong buying this.

Good for your average laptop, but not the best for heavy duty laptops
This is a decent product. If you own a laptop that ranges anywhere from cheap/old all the way to fairly average by 2020 standards (~2 gHz, 8gb RAM), then this is probably the laptop cooler for you. If you have anything remotely high end that isn't an Apple device, I would look for something higher quality.DURABILITYNot the greatest. The outside build quality is actually quite nice and sturdy. It was clearly built to handle laptops of all weights. However, a laptop is portable by nature, and if you try to carry this fan with you, you may start to notice some of the flaws. For starters, the inside build quality is questionable. If you move the cooler somewhere else, the fan (or something inside it) might start to make a grinding noise. It's pretty loud too. Thankfully, this is easily solved with several firm slaps, but it doesn't change the fact that I have to do that.Furthermore, the USB ports on the product are not well handled. The idea behind it is pretty cool -- the laptop fan uses a USB port to power itself, so in exchange, it has an extra one built into it so that you don't lose a USB port when using the fan. However, the USB ports are pretty loose. The cord isn't falling out or anything, but you have to position the cord just right, and you may find that after you've been away from the laptop, or you move the cooler somewhere else, that you will have to reposition the cord back into the USB port so that it can run at full power. It's actually a bit comical - if you readjust the USB correctly, the cooler goes from dim to bright, and there is an audible increase in fan speed. It reminds me a bit of the old movies where the scientist has to slap the machine a few times to get it to work properly.EFFECTIVENESSOnce you turn it on, you may feel disappointed by the initial air speed, but it works better than it feels. The initial air speed is not impressive at all, but it's the fact that it has 5 well spaced fans that makes up for it. The 5 fans (1 big center fan, and 4 smaller outer fans near the 4 corners) mean that, wherever your laptop vent is, cool air will be pumped in. The fact is, your laptop has an internal fan of its own, and it has to take in cool air from the outside to cool the inside of the laptop. The purpose of the cooler is not to directly cool the bottom of your laptop, but to cool the air going inside of your laptop. This works surprisingly well, as a laptop that is toasty to the touch normally is now barely even warm after I lift it off the cooler. However, if you have anything sizable like an Alienware laptop, or really any heavy duty laptop, I would encourage you to buy something a bit more heavy duty. The fan speed is good enough, but for a gaming laptop, where the speed and temperature can change wildly, you will need something a little more powerful and durable to accomplish the goal. The cooler also has a good amount of customization. You have 3 buttons -- Plus, Minus, and Power button. Each does what you expect it to -- the Plus and Minus control the fan speed, ranging from 1-6, and the power turns on/off the cooler. However, there are some cool features that are not immediately obvious. If you hold the Plus button, it will turn off the lights, and if you hold the Power button, you can choose between the 4 outer fans, the 1 big center fan, or all of the above.NOISEAs mentioned before, the internal durability of this product makes it a little noisy at times, but that just requires a few hits to quiet down. It never really fully quiets down, but it definitely gets a lot quieter. It's still annoying though, especially because if you flip the fan upside down, the noise almost completely goes away, and then the fan sounds perfect. Just like what you would expect a typical office fan to sound like. I saw another reviewer try to open it up and bend something to make it work, and I'm thinking of trying it myself -- especially if hitting the cooler or flipping it upside down is enough to temporarily fix the problem. All in all, it's pretty good for $30. If you have a heavy duty laptop that is expensive, I would go elsewhere, but if you spent under 800 for your laptop (or it is an Apple device), then this is the cooler for you!

It will do.
This cooling pad fits my old bulky Toshiba laptop quite well and seems to be doing its primary function just fine, in that it is helping keep the laptop cool. The underside of the laptop is cool to the touch when I check it, whereas it had previously been warm or hot to the touch. The amount of heat coming from the laptop's side exhaust vent is reduced, but of course not totally eliminated. I like that the top surface of the pad is perforated metal, which is my top choice of material for shelving and other placement for heat-producing electronics. I selected "purple" for the color, because I have found purple to be easier on the eyes than either red and blue, the other choices. I had imagined it would be some sort of deep purple color. It looks more like a warm magenta, which is acceptable and still looks good. Here's what I wish was different and what I hope the manufacturer will consider when designing its next model: The small LCD screen on the front has its own blue backlighting. This stays on for a few seconds after you turn on the fans or adjust their speed, and then turns off. I would have liked the option to have this backlighting stay on. Because of the way LCD is with viewing angles, you might consider OLED. Then it wouldn't even need backlighting. I would also like the buttons next to the display to have backlighting, with the option of staying illuminated indefinitely. The decorative RGB lighting around the edges is a bit bright. I ended up using blue, after thinking I would use purple. (The shade of purple was a bit bright, but the blue not so much.) I would have liked the option to dim this lighting. Also, I would have liked for it to remember its settings from last time when it is turned back on. Better yet, even if it would probably add to the cost, I would have liked the RGB lighting to be software-addressable like some other products with decorative RGB lighting. That would open up a wider range of options. Even with all these purely cosmetic suggestions, I still find this to be a good product that should do very well at is primary function of keeping a laptop cool.
