Absolutely worth it.
Pillows are a big deal especially if one has neck (and back and sleep) issues. This pillow completely saved me during recent travel to two locations with super questionable beds. Even with the slants and black holes of the beds, I managed to sleep and did not arise with neck pain. The pillow is small but don’t let that fool you. I might actually replace my full-size Tempurpedic pillow at home with it as it was easier to maneuver in the middle of the night. Easy to pack too - gets small. I only bring carry-ons but in all honesty I made my husband put it in his carry-on because I always bring too much. Just bring a pillow case for it. No heebee-jeebies about hotel pillows either. If you are used to Tempurpedic or quality ergonomic pillows, this is worth it all the way to wherever you’re going!

Tempur - Pedic performance in a compact pillow
BEST LITTLE TRAVEL SUPPORT PILLOW EVER! I absolutely love this pillow and use it for every trip, packs well in it’s own soft travel case. I even use it at home!

Perfect for travel
I've had this travel pillow for plane trips for over ten years and I just bought a new replacement (not because there's actually anything wrong with the old one but just because the carry case was getting too worn out! I'm afraid the strap is going to break and the pillow will go rolling away somewhere). The old pillow itself is still going strong, although you cannot compare the firmness of the old and the new one I just received - the new one is very firm and the old one is very soft. I'm not sure which I prefer yet as I haven't used the new on on a plane yet so looking forward to breaking it in soon. The old one traveled everyone around the world with me, helping make sitting in airline seats just a little more bearable. I highly recommend it, based on years of experience. You just roll it up and I use a carabiner that I bought separately to attach it to my travel backpack, so it's always at the ready. I'm very happy to see that they are still making it, as sometimes you love something and you go to replace it and it's been discontinued. Glad I bought this one. Funny thing, I paid about the same price then as I did for the new one, so the price hasn't gone up over time. It was more of an investment back in the day, but today it's money well spent. I justified the original purchase to myself when I flew first class on the first leg of a flight but was downgraded to a coach seat on the return... and thought of how I was going to make the ride as comfortable as possible? I discovered this pillow at an airport store and it did the trick. I still use it for almost every flight I take. UPDATE: Downside for the new product is that it's a little hard, so little bit of a challenge to get back into the carrying case but I hope that it will soften up over time. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, works great!

Compact for travel. Quite firm.
I use my regular size Temper-Pedic pillow every night. I wanted to get the travel size to take with me on a trip abroad. In the first pic, I have it inside of the bag and in the second pic, you can see the size compared to my regular pillow. It is light weight, a good size, and fit nicely inside of my backpack. But I found this new pillow to be firmer than what I like, so much so that my ear started hurting during the night. I never used it more than half a night as a result. I have had my old, regular size pillow for several years and I think that it has softened over the years. I have a vague memory of it being too firm in the beginning. I'm going to keep this travel one and try to figure out a way to soften it because it is exactly what I want in every other way.

YES this is the perfect travel solution
For those who are hooked on the original tempurpedic pillow, this is the same just travel size! My pictures show the original full size (maroon) and this travel size (gray). I’d say it’s about 60% of the original’s size. It is exactly what I hoped it would be. Composition-wise, it is exactly the same material and shape. Just not as wide. I was a little worried that my head would squish the edges and it wouldn’t be supportive in the same way but nope! It is GREAT. I can’t tell the difference when I’m lying on it. I slept the same, there were no issues or noticeable differences for actual use. I am so used to the support of the original tempurpedic pillow, I have taken the whole big thing with me on vacations, but now I can take this smaller one and save a ton of space, and not have to worry about lousy hotel pillows affecting my sleep and energy. This travel size one is going with me everywhere!

Too hard
I have owned one of these for over 20 years and loved it. But, as it losing some of its elasticity, I decided to buy a new one. It says it is firm. I do not recall my old one saying that and I had no choice. Unfortunately, this one has stayed terribly hard. The old tempurpedic quality of gradually letting my neck settle in does not seem to exist. It just feels like hard rubber. I have done all the things it says to do online (lean back against, push on it, wind it up, etc) and nothing has worked. Is there something I am missing? As it is now, I could not recommend this to anyone. Linda Mitchell

Pillow itself is great, but you'll buy cheaper and fresher on the Tempurpedic website
This is my third tempurpedic travel pillow of this exact shape. The pillow itself is terrific, I travel a lot for work and i get a better nights sleep if I use this rather than hotel pillows, and it compresses nicely to fit into my carry-on. I find it so useful I use one at home rather than a regular size pillow. I regret buying this one from this supplier however - two issues. (1) four weeks later I'm still waiting for the smell to dissipate (I'm doing a daily squeeze and fluff). I suspect the smell was stronger than in the previous pillows because this was likely old stock and cooped up in its plastic bag for ages. (2) I've since discovered that this pillow is selling for $59 on the Tempurpedic website (listed as on sale from usual price of $79). Silly me for not checking earlier and paying $99 to this supplier. (For the record - once the smell dissipates, these pillows last a long time. the one on my bed has to be at least five years old, but it is still the same height as the new one, and the only difference is that it bounces back to shape a little faster than the new one).

Very comfortable and well made
I just received mine yesterday, 23 May 2024, and used it for the first time last night. GREAT support for your neck and I really slept well versus a conventional pillow. I also noticed I didn't have the usual neck pain this morning. I love it. I also like the zippered case that comes with it for travel. It feels like it may be water repellant. I'm very happy with this purchase.
