The capacitor in the picture has been used for about 5 to 10 years and it has burned out. You can hear the current sound of the motor when opening the door, but the motor will not start. These capacitors are a bit larger than a C size battery with 4 bayonet style prongs for motor activation. It appears similar size, shape as the bad capacitor except it isn’t leaking fluid. Worked perfect after installation. There is no noise associated with capacitor action. The previous capacitor lasted maybe 19 years since the house was built. The best part of all this is that Amazon delivered it next day! Bravo Amazon. Minor inconvenience resolved basically overnight.
