I have been using the foam gasket type and have had no issues on both 3 or 5 gallon bottles. I store the bottles upright most of the time, except when transporting them I may place them horizontally. However, no leaks have occurred and I am a satisfied customer.

These come in pretty handy because I refill at a refill station instead of exchanging bottles which saves a ton of money. However I think the foam gaskets needs some work perhaps to be thicker. Some of the Caps leak some of them don't when I put them up on the horizontal racks for storage. It's always hit-or-miss and I need to peek in to check if there's water dripping. if you store your bottles up right these are perfect you should have absolutely no problem.

I have 4 different brand 5 gallon water jugs, and recently purchased a stand for storing them. The regular plastic caps all leaked when I placed them on the stand. Thought these would be wonderful, but within 10 minutes, they all popped off and flew like bullets across the kitchen. Thank goodness I tried them on the empty jugs first! I returned them, and am still hunting for no leak lids!

These caps are exactly what I needed for my 5 gallon water bottles.Do not remove tear away plastic part till you have cap on bottle first which you do by getting cap on bottle as much as you can and then hitting down with palm of hand or small rubber mallet. After that, cap is easy to get on and off.

Awesome!! I’ve bought 3 different kinds these are the first ones I can put in my horizontal stand that do not leak at all, so excited, I’m pretty sure I can reuse the foam gaskets on the other ones I bought too so they don’t go to waste will buy again also 😊
