The great flavor is still there!
It has always been my favorite 'turrón'. It is always the hardest to get. I was happy.that the delicious flavor has not changed but surprised to see how much each bar shrank in size and hrew in price...still delicious.

Wonderful
Previously I had only encountered this product in Spain at Christmas time in the local supermarkets. I grew very fond of it then but it was clearly not practical to bring large quantities of this home with me in my airplane luggage. So nice to encounter it on amazon.com and not much more expensive, really, than buying it in Spain. Turon is made from almonds - the higher the almond content, the higher the quality for the most part. El Almendro is a medium grade brand - not the most expensive, but very satisfactory in all respects.

A bit waxy
We have purchased this same product in nearby supermarkets decades back. For some reason, this specific item is no longer stocked in most Spanish supermarkets. This item did not taste fresh. It tasted like biting into wax. Definitely not fresh.
