I use this at home on my hobbies *by J***. on June 21, 2018* So far so good! I use this at home on my hobbies. Heats and stirs well. I have only tested melting agar in about 500mL but it handled that easily. I have also ran the stirring element alone for over 24hr on a small culture. The coating on the plate seems very thin and had a few nicks when opened, but so far it has been easy to clean if there are any spills. Much better than an aluminum top. I will update later if I have problems, but it comes with a two year warranty. Also customer service was quick to respond to my questions before I purchased.Update 4/8/2019Still runs like a champ. I am very happy with my unit.
