Does this chandelier put off a good amount of light?

Not as much light as I expected, mostly reflected upwards as the shells block the downward light. I still love the look of it.

Does the chandelier have a cap at the top to cover the wiring at the ceiling? If so, what does it look like?

yes, this does come with a ceiling cap. It will match the chains on the light

What are the diameter and length dimentions?

IT IS 20" DIAMETER AND 9.75" IN HEIGHT

What is the color of the finish?

Metal frame is a dark bronze and the shells will vary as they are a natural shell.
