This monitor is perfect for me and has incredible color reproduction because it is rumored to have the same panel as the one Apple used on their old thunderbolt displays. I've compared it with my MacBook Pro and the color reproduction looks identical to me. Great for graphics design!The glass/coating is treated in a special process that makes it not have annoying glare even though it's solid and glossy like an iMac or Apple laptop.I don't want a 4K monitor because my gaming computer that also shares this monitor can't support that resolution. (This monitor is roughly 2.5K at 2560x1440). Upgrading my PC to play in 4K would cost a considerable extra amount of money for the right hardware to push all those pixels around. Also, the pixels on this monitor are very tiny and the pixels-per-inch ratio is second only to a 27" 4K panel (but good luck finding an IPS 4K monitor this size anywhere near this price!)As mentioned, this monitor has an IPS panel that delivers 60hz. It's absolutely gorgeous. If you're a big gamer, you may want 144hz but I've never had a problem with this and I play fast-paced first person shooters.The stand and swivel functionality is terrific, too. It raises, lowers, and tilts up and down. I can always get it right where I want it without any effort and its a breeze to adjust after. I haven't seen quality like this anywhere else. By far the only monitor I will ever want to use. When I'm ready to upgrade to 4K, I hope Nixeus makes a glossy one just like this one. It's great to have a beautiful, glossy, 2.5K monitor that looks good and works well with PC's and Macs. No scaling issues--both operating systems think it is a native resolution.Also, who doesn't love a company that's based in the US? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars If you're looking for a glossy monitor, look no further...since this is the only one made anymore *by J***L on Reviewed in the United States on June 1, 2019* I was ecstatic to actually find this monitor while searching through amazon since I had been looking for a glossy monitor actually still available for purchase for the better part of the year, and it seems Nixeus is the only company to even sell them anymore. And overall, I'm happy with it.The stand had a lot of scuff marks on it which made me a bit worried about the quality of the display, but the panel itself was scratch free and without any dead or stuck pixels. Most importantly, the monitor is in-fact glossy, meaning no terrible anti-glare film, and richer looking blacks. If you're going just for picture quality and color vibrancy, definitely grab this. Not ideal for looking at darker images/videos as there is a fair bit of backlight bleed in two of the corners, although it's not noticeable during normal use when those areas are displaying colors. It's also obviously only 60hz and has a fair bit of ghosting even with overdrive, so it's great if you want your games to look good, less ideal if you're looking for responsiveness. Overall I'm quite happy with it and will probably be picking up another one or two.And if my dreams come true, maybe one day Nixeus will make a glossy, high refresh rate 1440p monitor. I can dream. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Customer Support from Nixeus! *by T***R on Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2018* Nixeus creates great products that are hard to come by. The Nixeus 27S is based on the same panel as used in the discontinued Apple 27 inch cinema display, but at a much lower price point. I actually sent mine back because I couldn't find the settings to match the picture to my Nixeus 27D (also discontinued), which I have used heavily for five years with no issues and nothing but praise. However, they have different boards, the 27D is a passthrough that gives a lot of function to the computer, and that picture is the best and brightest I have ever seen on any monitor. It matches my retina very well, despite being only 2560x1440. I need a lot of brightness in my scientific publishing work, because it helps me identify fonts and makes it easier to track through dense equations. Tony at Nixeus spent a lot of time and effort on this, working on the firmware to get a better match with the 27D, so I may try it, again. At current prices it's a great deal. These guys are in CA and unlike a lot of companies, you will talk to real people who go the extra mile.
