3M Littmann Stethoscope Spare Parts Kit, Classic II S.E., Grey, 40006

I have a Littmann Cardiology II S.E. stethoscope that I bought 23 years ago. I can't find them or their replacement parts anymore online so i'm assuming they don't make them. Things have advanced and updated versions are available since then. I'm so pleased that I purchased this spare parts kit because the cover with the L on it fits my bell perfectly.(The grey circle doesn't fit my outside part with the pediatric adapter, but I didn't need that piece.) Very pleased.

My Cardiology II SE is old. Really old. But you know, I've been using it for over 25 years now. It has been my mainstay and I've just gotten so attuned to it, I can't think of using any other stethoscope. When I approached 3M/Littmann about a replacement part kit for my stethoscope, they recommended this one. The diaphragm and ear pieces work as they should, but the bell cover is NOT like the original at all. It is far too shallow, and doesn't cover the bell all the way to the base like the old one did.Well...it's all they have though. Bummer. :(

I’ve been having trouble finding the right parts for my Littman Cardiology II SE. The Plastic on the diaphragm broke. I decided to take my chances. I didn’t want to spend $$$ for just that piece. This almost fits perfectly and it still works perfectly as far as listening to heart and lung sounds. There’s a tiny little crease at the edge. But now I don’t have to rely on borrowing one from a coworker or using the terrible one that my department has. Quite happy. Should have done it a long time ago.

I didn't realize this was specific for classic series scopes. I have a cardiology III and the pieces all fit perfectly.

I should have paid more attention to the reviews before purchasing, otherwise I would have realized that the Littmann Classic II is not the same as the Littmann Classic II SE. The diaphragm included in this kit does not fit the Littmann Classic II. However, if you still have the diaphragm from the old Littmann Classic II, you can use that with "O-ring" rim piece, and it will work just fine.

You don't get everything in the picture....Very disappointed Only got ear pieces and small bell. I should have gone the larger ring and diaphragm as picture showed...Don't buy here...Now I still don't have the diaphragm and ring I needed to use my stethoscope.

Tried like heck to get this to fit right on my bell but is kept shifting to one side and now my stethoscope does not work. Either have to have professional help or by new scope for work. I think Littmann is still the best so this review is only for trying to repair by yourself.

Waste of money. After putting replacement membrane and plastic rim in place, there is NO sound conduction at all. Loved my Littman when it had original parts, but these parts are a waste of money. Also, plastic rim is almost impossible to get in place without disk slipping out from under rim. Just go ahead and order entirely new stethoscope. You will be sorry if you try this "fix." I expected better from Littman.

Saved buying a new stethoscope. Expensive for the parts, but lesser of two evils -repair rather than replace
