Well made strainer. It is a perfect coffee cup size. Strainer part is 3-1/4" wide x 1-1/4" deep. Rim is 4" wide. Handle 4-3/4" long, 0.1145" diameter wire. Rim is shiny and smooth. Spot welds seem solid. Mesh is well crimped into rim. I counted the number of opening per inch at 20. Tried to measure the mesh wire diameter but not sure I could get the calipers accurately on the wire, it is around .0100". Other strainers in my photos are an old one I've had for 20 years and has seen better days - it is 17 mesh. Cuisinart strainer is the larger one, it is 23 mesh. I was surprised how such a small difference in mesh count makes quite a large difference in opening size.

I've bought this item twice, the second time because the handle broke off the first one. Even while being especially careful with the second one, the handle broke off again. The welds simply don't hold. Disappointing, because otherwise the size and design are fine...just poor workmanship on the weld.

I purchased this little strainer because I wanted a longer handle but it turned out exactly the same as the one that I already have only 1/2 inches difference. But I still love this strainer, very handy and easy to clean.

I recently have learned of Matcha and I nought this so I can sift my powder into water. Works perfect for that!

I think it deserves 5 stars because it is very well made but it is so tiny!! My fault though. Just be aware this is a very very small strainer. In fact, I don't know in which occasion I am going to use it.If you found it helpful, thanks for clicking "Helpful" ;)

Wanted a strainer for cocktails and similar. It certainly does that.The mesh is too fine for smoothies, but its great for liquids.
