Replaced Factory shocks with this shock
It works great. Truck rides like new. Should have done it sooner. I'd buy these again. E-Z install, top quality. Best money I've spent on my truck. Price was half of what national auto parts chains wanted for shock. Combine that with 5 day free shipping, and its a great deal. Don't delay in buying these!

Big improvement
Great shocks. Put them on a 94 suburban for towing and offroad use.

Works on a 2000 K3500 crewcab
This is only a 3 day in use review, but my 2000 k3500 had tire rub and Monroe shocks I purchased last year just weren't cutting it. These shocks did raise my front just enough to keep the 285/75/16 from rubbing. Ride quality doesn't feel stiffer but 454 is a heavy engine so front suspension is getting a workout irregardless.

Recommended upgrade for 1998 Chevy K3500
Installed these on the front of a 1998 Chevy K3500 along with the corresponding 061's for the rear. The old rear units looked original and the old fronts were an aftermarket yellow colored unit. These KYB's changed the truck ride completely. The ride is now stable and controlled. Nose diving under hard braking is much reduced and, although we're not talking Cadillac ride, it's a huge improvement. Truck also looks better with the unloaded body raised about 1.5-2". Highly recommended!

I'm happy with them.
In the box, you get the shock, 2 zip ties to seal the mud boot and a sticker to put on the shock but no new mounting hardware. I installed these on my 1993 Chevy 3500K (56.5 L turbo diesel). I've now had them on for a little over a month. I've driven on and off road with these as well as with and without the truck loaded up. They greatly improved the ride and do a good job dampening the suspension. However, just to give some context, the shocks that were on my truck appeared to be the originals so almost anything would have been better. These appear well built. I've used KYB Gas-a-just on another car of mine and had was happy with those as well.

Turn your mushy supension into truck suspension!
I used these on my 2004 astro van. Keep in mind, these are designed for heavy duty use. If you are looking for a car like ride, go for a something like the exel or monroe sensatracs. The only downside is..the stroke is a bit limited. I found that after cranking the torsion keys about 3 inches, the shocks would almost bottom out. So...make sure you match up your needs for stroke with the right shock. I am guessing this is where KYB decided to save some money was on the actual shaft. Hey, they are 60 bucks out the door. If you want it all, get some Bilsteins. After driving with them over 3000 miles, they did settle down a bit..however, with LT rated tires, you will feel a lot more bumps than the average "car shock". However, I can plow through ruts, potholes, drainages...and not worry as much about bottoming out. An astro van carries the majority of it's weight on the front. For the rear of the van, I went with exel G which work really, really well. It no longer wags in the wind or wallows in pain under load. Carried 2,000lbs inside the van for 3,000 miles with no problems.
