Bandai Hobby HGBF Star Build Strike Gundam Plavsky Wing Model Kit (1/144 Scale)

Considering this kit is basically just the Build Strike FP with a few new toys, it should come as no surprise that it's just as awesome as its predecessor. The joints are just as tight and stable, and the kit itself is just as well balanced and cool looking. Even out of the box with no paint the model is a hell of a looker, but you'll need to paint the shield and the rifle to get the full effect.Obviously, if you've built the Build Strike FP previously, this kit isn't going to hold much in the way of new things for you. To my recollection there's only one or two new runners, counting the Universe Booster, which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.As with the Build Strike, I can honestly say I recommend this kit to anyone, regardless of their past experience with Gunpla. Not only does it look FANTASTIC fresh out of the box, but it's a RIDICULOUSLY easy build, and RIDICULOUSLY well engineered to boot. I have absolutely positively no complaints about this thing whatsoever. Whether it's your first Gunpla or your fourteenth, pick it up. You won't regret it.

I got this to complement the Crossbone Mao HGBF. While that kit was unique and came with lots of attachments it was incredibly flimsy once put together. This kit is solid through and through. It is quite striking! The build is not difficult. The gate marks are located in inconspicuous areas on the kit and are very easy to sand and buff off leaving you with a very clean look. I loved this HG kit. I would definitely recommend this kit to beginners and veterans alike.

A great high grade model kit. Part separation and color separation is spectacular that it gives off this Real Grade-ish feel to it. The clear parts are easy to clean up unlike the Exia line up. Articulation is good. Comes with a stand which is perfect and you can store the clear parts there if you wish to use the plavsky wings. The downside is that the gun is molded in a gray plastic, not white like some parts in the picture. The beam cannons are also in the wrong color mold. I wish they included the plavsky yellow rings even if it cost a little bit more. Overall, worth the money.

Though it is based off of the Strike, it feels like a much more solid build outside of the wings. It even comes with a stand even though it feels completely unnecessary unless you put on the wings. There are slots on the stand to put in the little red pieces to make room for the wings, but the little red pieces did not feel like they actually fit on the stand. It is also disappointing that it did not come with enough parts of the blue pieces to completely replace all the little red ones. You need to buy an add on for that apparently.But in general, this is one of the best HG builds I have experienced. Its range of motion is quite good for a HG and is able to do a variety of poses just due to the sheer number of accessories that it comes with. For its price, it is definitely one of the best HG models.

So this is my first Gundam. I am a long time Transformer fan and was curious as to the buzz about these guys. Let me say I am a huge fan now! This guy is as other reviews stated a great starter. It has about 100 pieces...Total time to build him was about 2 hours total. You will definitely need some tiny tweezers for (stickers.) Wire cutters, and an Xacto knife.This toy stands roughly about the height of a Deluxe sized Transformer. Pose-ability is awesome! In comparison to most Deluxe Transformers there is tons of details and in some ways I enjoyed it more.A few suggestions when piecing this guy together.1) Use your wire cutters, and Xacto knife. They will help you clean pieces up from the "sprues."2) DO NOT TWIST THE TRANSPARENT PIECES OFF! These clear transparent parts are VERY breakable...3) Remove pieces only as you need them... Don't take them all off their sprues right away as it will be VERY difficult to figure out where each goes.4) Take your time!5) Super Glue is useful on some of the pieces (back of the legs has a few parts that are a bit lose...) (DO NOT use it on the transparent parts!) If you do then you won't be able to do the Blue Wings parts later!6) Stickers are the most tricky so take your time... You can somewhat slide them into place before they "stick" once you have it in place then you can carefully rub it into place with tweezer or another smaller "sprue."Over all I highly recommend this for any first timer and even fan of Gundam. He sits on my shelf at the moment in my office and I thoroughly enjoy him. I plan on getting more of these guys!This toy I would recommend for kids older than the age of 10. My 5 year old was ok, but had issues with pieces falling off constantly. These models are definitely not play-toys, but really for displaying.

In comparison to the majority of my HG purchases, the HG Star Build Strike features multiple accessories and interchangeable parts. The gun, the shield, the backpack and the wings.The build was incredibly fun and satisfying. Some things to note are the two different variations of the absorb shield that you can put together. You could make the shield while it is open, and ready to absorb, or while it is closed. The rifle has movable parts which you can bring down, and the backpack actually comes over the chest piece which was quite different from my past gunpla.The leg joints may seem a little loose at times, but its nothing your girlfriends nail polish coating can't fix.Overall, the Star Build Strike is worth the buy, and I highly recommend it to any fan out there looking for a new HG.

I ordered this on March 9th, I got it on March 13th. This Gundam was fun to put together. Took me 3 hours because it's my first on. I made it fight TF3's Megatron and won. This Gundam is 1 CM taller then my Ironhide toy, shorter the a spray can, and taller then a MLP pony. All the parts came with it and it looks cool. Not bad for a beginner.

A very fun build and a very nice take on the Strike Gundam. A few too many stickers for my liking but with patience it is worth it. Some areas may need painting if you want it to be anime accurate eg. Ankle guards need a touch of black, beam rifle needs white. But other then that it's a very fun kit to build. Articulation is impressive too.

Preso per provare con mano la qualitá delle plastiche e degli incastri, davvero eccellenti, istruzioni in giapponese ma fatte in modo chiarissimo che non lasciano dubbi (e se vi vengono vuol dire che avete interpretato male qualche passaggio, come é capitato a me).
