You will be very disappointed if you buy two!
I particularly like the multiple sensors and smartphone app’s informative explanation of each sensor’s detection and what to do about it. If you work from home, you’ll find these nine sensors helpful. Things you should know before you purchase: 1) It only supports 2.4GHz WiF, and the setup is unnecessarily convoluted; read the instructions and watch the videos on YouTube before you start. 2) It requires cloud service for no apparent reason. 3) The smartphone app sends too many repeated alerts to your smartphone with no way to limit the interval. The app is easy to use but not intuitive. 4) I purchased two units, and one had a defective power supply. Amazon customer service was quick to place It. But, the replacement was cycling power _intermittently_ for three days. The worst part is I couldn't tell why. Update Oct-12-2021: Two devices sitting 25 centimeters apart give very different readings! For example, TVOC=128ppm on one device, and TVOC=1200ppm on the other device! I went back and forth with their support over email, and after two weeks, the problem was due to the devices losing Wi-Fi connectivity, causing the devices to restart/reboot. As a result of the restarts, the devices cannot calibrate! Which seems absurd, but what do I know. No other IoT device on my network has a connectivity problem, and uHoo wants me to change my Wi-Fi configuration! I have been patient, but the technology is immature, poorly designed, and frustrating.

uHoo Saved US From a Serious Illness!
The uHoo continuously measures temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure plus 6 separate indicators of room air quality. It is relatively unobtrusive and can be set-up and linked to your IOS or Android device in just a few minutes. I originally bought the device to monitor my bedroom air quality because I have an allergic lung disease which makes me very sensitive to small particulates, volatile chemicals and ozone in the air, all of which are monitored by uHoo. I never dreamed that this device would save me from a serious illness or worse! I was awakened by an alert on my cell phone at about 5 AM one morning. My uHoo was sending an alert that the CO2 levels in my bedroom were high. In fact, the measured CO2 level was 1675 ppm (greater than 1000 ppm is considered dangerous). My husband and I both had headaches and we felt weak and nauseous. When I realized what was going on, I got up and turned off the house HVAC system and opened some windows. The CO2 levels dropped rapidly after that and we began feeling better. It turns out that we were having the shingles on our roof replaced and when the worker's left that afternoon, they had covered parts of the roof with plastic to protect those areas from nighttime moisture. In so doing, they inadvertently covered the exhaust vent to the house HVAC system. This caused CO2 to be released into the house and the levels built up quickly since the night was relatively cold. Who knows what would have happened if we didn't have uHoo to awake us and warn us? I now consider our uHoo an essential house safety device! You never know when something like this will occur.

Great, but CO2 sensor has a long warm-up AND needs to go through auto-calibration! Read the FAQ!
I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I bought this little gadget on September 7th, 2020, just as the air quality here from the west coast wildfires was starting to get worrisome (but when it was still under/around 100 AQI). It arrived on Thursday September 10th, and I promptly set it up. Setup with the iOS app was very easy, following the steps provided on the website link included in the package (no user manual was included) and the instructions once I downloaded the app. I had looked at a few other devices, but of the ones that were available/in stock when I ordered, this was the best option that would be delivered most quickly. (The runner-up was IQAir's Air Visual Pro.) Overall: Pretty happy with it! This little thing has really helped reassure us that our HVAC system and air purifiers are working well, but there were some VERY alarming readings for CO2 until it auto-calibrated after almost a week of use. Pros: * Many sensors - I was most concerned about PM2.5, and for the price, the additional types of sensors on this one made it a really nice option. * App connectivity - I did not want a device that ONLY displayed on the device itself. I like being able to see current and historical data from anywhere, rather than having to have the device in hand or very close to see. * Notifications - not only does this provide notifications if any of the levels fall into abnormal ranges, but you can also CHANGE the tolerances. For example, it recommends keeping the relative humidity below 50%. I have issues in winter when the humidity is any lower than 40% and prefer it to be closer to 60% for comfort. * Accuracy - This is a little harder to determine, as I have not actually let the monitor sit in a place where I know the readings will be higher (e.g. outside) but I may test putting it outside (or in a closed/sealed room with a window open) in the next few days while the AQI is still high to see how close to the officially reported numbers it is. I did leave it in a partially sealed room with a window cracked for a few minutes when the PM2.5 reading outside was around 500 (yeah, it's BAD here right now), but only left it until the readings went over 50, as the room was not sealed well enough to risk letting all of that awful stuff in the house. Cons: * No display on the device itself. This is a SMALL downside for me, as I'd rather have the app than a display if I have to choose one or the other, but having some indication on the device of air quality would be nice (e.g. if my husband wanted to check but I'm not available to check the app, and we haven't set the app up on his phone - and I'm not yet sure if we can have multiple devices looking at the same monitor, but I think we probably can, since it's account based) * Long warm-up period for some sensors. The CO2 sensor in particular has a 48-hour "warm up" period. * CO2 sensor seems to require at least one weekly auto-calibration before reporting accurately. Honestly I think the FAQ should be updated to say that the initial warm up period for CO2 is a week. I was getting extremely concerned about our CO2 levels, as they were being reported as nearly 2000ppm, which is getting into nausea and losing consciousness territory. The suggestions in the notifications about these high levels are to "open windows" or otherwise increase ventilation from outside. We can't do that right now! The outside air is SO unhealthy, that we were willing to put up with the high CO2 until we actually started feeling bad before taking any steps to introduce "fresh" air. Finally, today (Wednesday September 16, almost one week after setting up the device) after seeing the CO2 numbers climbing into ever more dangerous territory each day, suddenly the numbers dropped into a normal range (700ppm). I can only assume that the device finally started its once-weekly auto-calibration cycle. * Very minor, but it would be really nice if there was some link-up to compare the indoor readings to the reported AQI for our location, so that notifications could maybe take the outdoor air quality into consideration before recommending we open windows! I was just about to disable notifications entirely until this situation cleared up and we could open the windows again. * FAQ can be a little hard to navigate - in the app, when you tap the menu icon in upper left, there's a Help & FAQ option, which opens the website to the FAQ in the app. The information I really needed was slightly difficult to navigate to, as I had to side-scroll (not intuitive on a small screen) to find the "uHoo Device" portion of the FAQ. Once I did find it though, I was able to find the information about warm-up and auto-calibration. Though nothing in the FAQ indicated that the CO2 readings might be SO far out of sync before the first auto-calibration cycle. It read more like we could expect it to maybe be a little bit off, but the difference was more like 1000ppm higher than (hopefully) actual reading that is being reported now.

Excelente y tiene todavía mas funciones como bajar información a la laptop me gusto mucho por las variables que maneja y lo puse en un quirófano y en un laboratorio y me dio valores muy parecidos a un monitor profesional.

I am writing this after two years with the unit. It regularly shows TVOC at very high levels that are quite obviously wrong. By that I mean nothing in the house changed, no cooking, etc. But the numbers shoot up and stay extremely high for a long time before coming down. Even opening a window doesn’t reduce them to a reasonably accurate level, which clearly it would if the actual TVOC were high indoors. See photo attached. Humidity reads high by 5% or more, PM2.5 also often reads high. I have compared with multiple other brand units that I had running concurrently. The other units agreed with each other quite closely while this unit can be completely out to lunch. Other times it would agree with the other units. Contacting UHoo resulted in them checking and then resetting the unit remotely. That brought things back to reasonable levels, but it didn’t last. Rebooting didn’t make any difference most times. The unit will randomly come back into the realm of accuracy and then take off again. I cannot rely on it. That is a shame because I bought it specifically for the hourly graphing which is an awesome feature. Too bad the graphs are often wrong.
