It works as expected
This was a quick way to add bluetooth to a mini PC of mine that doesn't have built-in Bluetooth, and I wanted to move to where a wired keyboard and mouse would be inconvenient. There are no drivers to install, it just works with Windows. After conecting it, it was immediately recognized and I was able to pair with my mouse, keyboard, and headphones; all of which worked flawlessly.

If you already have Bluetooth, you don't need. But if you don't. This one works.
It *says* Bluetooth 6.0 so you can "hope" it is accurate. /=) I compared it to my other Bluetooth 4.0 USB adapter, and it's definitely got longer range. Slightly *clearer*. BUT. My 4.0 actually "sounded" better.

Does What It Says
My PC didn't have built-in Bluetooth, so I needed a simple solution. Plugged this in, Windows found it and I didn't need to install any drivers. I use it for headphones and the range is genuinely good. I can move around the room without dropouts. At $17 it's not the cheapest option, but it works reliably and the two-year warranty from a US-based company is worth something. If you just need Bluetooth on a desktop or older laptop, this gets the job done.

Would Not Work For Me On Linux
I ordered this Bluetooth adapter in the hopes of being able to use my Bluetooth speakers on an old PC running Linux. Unfortunately, that has not worked out. The target computer is running MX-Linux (a Debian based distro), and, after plugging this device in, it seemed to work. The system recognized the Bluetooth, and even the speakers trying to pair with it – it just would not pair. (The speakers have paired instantly & played on EVERY OTHER Bluetooth gadget I have). I then tried to use this adapter on another old laptop running Linux Mint - and that OS didn’t like it at all; the Bluetooth manager there kept crashing. Every other Windows PC, and all other capable devices I own, already have built-in Bluetooth, so I could not try it on them. I’m not suggesting that this USB Bluetooth adapter doesn’t work at all, (I really don't know), I ony know that it does not work for me, on my Linux systems.

Kinivo BT6.0 USB Bluetooth Adapter – True Plug‑and‑Play and a Huge Range Upgrade
Product Overview The Kinivo BT6.0 USB Bluetooth adapter uses Bluetooth 6.0 with BLE support and is backward compatible with earlier versions. It’s designed for Windows and Ubuntu systems and supports a wide range of devices including keyboards, mice, speakers, headphones, printers, and gaming controllers when connected through a PC. It offers up to 66 feet of wireless range and fast data transfer speeds. Personal Experience This was the perfect upgrade for my PC. My motherboard is getting old and only had Bluetooth 4.0 built in, so after getting my new iPhone I decided it was time to replace it. This adapter worked flawlessly right out of the box. It was true plug‑and‑play and I have four devices connected to it with zero issues. The increased range for my headphones is a huge improvement. I don’t have to take them off when going to the bathroom anymore. They used to lose signal constantly, but now they stay connected and crystal clear the entire time. Final Verdict A smooth, reliable Bluetooth upgrade that works exactly as advertised. Great range, stable connections, and effortless setup. An easy 5 stars.

Works great, needed to remove old connections first
I replaced my existing USB adapter with this one and it was immediately recognized and the driver installed, this was on Windows 10, installation was easy. I mostly use for connecting earbuds, I have a couple of sets that I use till they run out and switch. I had issues connecting to bluetooth since they were previously connected. I tried to remove the earbuds but could not because the Windows 10 associated with the prior BT device. I had to plug in the old device, then remove. I then plugged this BT adapter back in and earbuds were immediately recognized. Sound from the buds is the same as prior devices, no clicks, pops or stuttering. Only odd thing is that Windows 10 does not recognize as a Kinivo adapter but rather a "Barrot" one - still Bluetooth 6.0 though.

Works with my Ubuntu/Sony, but not with my Ubuntu/Mac
I don't use windows or mac, so when I saw the description for this adapter specifically mention "Ubuntu" (my preferred Linux distro) I had to order it. The laptop I'd used for the last couple of years died, forcing me to fall back to an older Sony laptop and/or my wife's retired macbook. The good news is that for the Sony Vaio (with dead internal BT), this BT adapter was indeed "plug & play", just as claimed in the product's description. The sony is running Ubuntu 24.04, fully up to date. I just plugged in the adapter and it worked. Despite running Linux, I am not particularly competent with it, and really do need for hardware to be plug & play. So I moved onto the 2016(I think) macbook (what I've mostly used the last several months). My wife had stopped using it when it no longer received updates. I wiped it and installed Ubuntu 24.04, and it's worked fine except for the bluetooth, which only seems to work about half of the time (despite my clumsy attempts to remedy the problem). Unfortunately this adapter doesn't work with the Ubuntu/Mac. The adapter is listed under the "lsusb" items, but that's all. There was also no luck doing the auto-search for drivers. Though I had really hoped this adapter would work with the mac, I won't judge it too harshly though, I know apple isn't particularly friendly when it comes to running anything other than mac os.
