Car Mechanic Simulator (PS4) - PlayStation 4

It’s a good game but only towards car/truck enthusiasts. I work on trucks and fix them up. I thought of buying the game cuz I thought would be cool to see how well the simulation was. Not gonna lie pretty detailed. Played it on the hardest level to see how much I would know on fixing up a car. Pretty fun just know it’s not for people who aren’t into cars and shizz. It’s slow at first but after you rank up and rack in money it’s pretty fun building your own builds in game. Wish they had like old mini trucks in game would be cool. But other than that pretty decent game

This is a first impression review -- in the sense that I haven't explored all of this games options, difficulty levels, or builds. Overall I like this. After playing a lot of FPS, action/adventure and racing games (which I love) this sort of game is relaxing. You basically take work orders which from what I've seen can range from basic oil changes to engine tear downs. As you gain XP you get to upgrade your shop with more room and diagnostic equipment. You can even acquire barn finds or cars at auction that you flip (fix up and sell). There are generic phony car makes and a few real-life makes.This is just a nice slow-paced, chill way to kill time. Not a bad job for a small developer from Poland. It earns 4 stars because there simply aren't too many games out there like this. If you wanted to compare it to a big developer you could say it's 3 star material and possibly only because of it's dated graphics. Still it's good fun if you're into cars, curious about their components and how they run. Maybe you're already mechanically inclined but the best part is your hands will stay relatively clean, you won't bash your knuckles, or go nuts looking for that elusive 10mm socket.

This is by far one of the better games I have purchased. I’m a gearhead and this is perfect from everything, it’s very in depth on details and plus you don’t have to worry about getting your hands dirty with grease. Only been playing 2 hours now and haven’t made it super far into the game but I’m enjoying it completely. Worth it if you like working on cars of any degree from brakes to full builds.

I bought this for my 12 year old grandson, rather than a shooting game. WE enjoy it!!! :) He calls me in to look at his finished project or we work on one together. It teaches him real mechanics of cars. Very good. Very proud to give him this and he is proud of himself :) awesome game!!

Its just ok for me. Camera controls are a little wonky and the game is a bit tedious.

I think this game is really interesting and loads of fun. If you want to learn about cars you can play in sandbox mode where you can buy anything you need and have all the tools. If you already know about cars, this game is just loads of fun. It's visually cool, informative and addictive. Totally recommend it

I am FURIOUS! its not worth the return after having to do my research on why exactly this seller sold me something under false advertisement... The picture listed in the sale post has a "E" for everyone rating pictured on this game. When I received this game I immediately saw a green number "3" in place of the E on the lower left hand corner. It threw me off because I'm no educated gamer, just a mom who purchased this based off reviews for my kids' Christmas gift. I had to call game stop for an explanantion of what this rating is and if there was any difference in gaming. They told me it is only bc this game is from another country & It shouldn't effect the game itself. But I PURCHASED AND EXPECTED TO GET EXACTLY WHAT'S PICTURED. Not some foreign made game. AMERICAN!! So shame on this seller AND on amazon for allowing such shenanigans. Lucky I dont return BUT its so close to Christmas i fear not being capable of a replacement. I will update my review upon opening and playing after Christmas and if we have any issues I will demand a refund.

I'm giving it 4 stars simply because I've played the PC version which is better but PC games are always better. With that being said, if this is the first time you're playing this game it's better than sliced bread. Any car enthusiast will find the depth of this game very rewarding. Take some time to familiarize yourself with the controls and don't skip the tutorial. There is an upgrade system in the game that's very important as you level up keep an eye on it. You start with the bare bones in story mode and will be salivating at the mouth to unlock higher level upgrades. Have fun tearing down engines and sifting through old barns for a once in a lifetime find. This game is not for kids unless you're willing to put in a little bit of time to show them how to play and if they can't read yet it's going to be a full-time job for you. This game is a new kind of challenge; it deals in real life. You have to actually fix cars and there are rules you have to follow. Seek discomfort
