Having 2nd thoughts after two years. *by R***9 on November 20, 2016* I did my own installation using this kit following YouTube videos. Everything fit. The old bearings were rusted in place, so I needed to use my 8 lb sledge hammer and a 2 ft long piece of 1-1/2 inch steel pipe to drive them out. A real professional wouldn't look as scary as I looked banging away on those !Two years later the bearings are whining like a jet plane at take off. I watched a couple more YouTubes, and there is guy suggesting that the chinese bearings are lousy, and that it would be a lot better to got to a regular bearing supply house and buy two " stainless steel " bearings made by germans or sweden.This does make a lot of sense to me. I've been notice for 15 years that chinese made screws, nuts, and bolts are made with inferior grade steel,,,too soft.....and so they are basically " single use " and after that they are stripped out or broken or the hex heads are rounded off.Ever heard of the ancient chinese torture, " death by a thousand little cuts " ????? I think that's what happening . They are selling use stuff that sort of works for a while. Makes me wonder if our military is buying replacement bearings , nuts and bolts and connectors, propellers, bridges, airplanes, motors that will sort of fall apart after 5 years. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ but not that bad. I just used a large punch and a ... *by D***D on October 2, 2014* Kit contains everything you need. Even comes with decent instructions, which are needed because there are two different seal assemblies. Be sure to watch several youtube videos before you start. It will save you time. Entire project can be done in a couple hours or less if you are prepared. One video shows completely removing the outer drum assembly. This is NOT needed. You can free the inner drum from the outer from the back side of the machine with a hammer and block of wood. Removing the old bearings is the hardest part, but not that bad. I just used a large punch and a hammer and removed the inner bearing first as it is easy to access from the back of the machine. Be sure to grease the front and inside edges of the seal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A tight fit. *by T***C on August 25, 2016* It's been a few weeks of laundry and the bearings are working great. My wife said it's the quietest the washer has been for years. I went to a tractor supply and got a large 8 inch long bolt threaded all the way up with a couple nuts and several large washers that matched the size of the bearings. I then got a few steel light box covers with the center hole knocked out as the counter pressure to the bearing. Cost me under $10. The washers with the large bolt behind them applied the pressure to remove and replace the bearings. This works in getting both bearings almost out. There is about a centimeter of compression left that you will use a hammer and socket wrench extension to knock it out the rest of the way. I will say that I bent several washers in the amount of pressure needed to pop these free. You will need a long breaker bar and wrench. I cleaned everything up and applied some lithium grease. I used the old bearings to help seat the new ones as they were the exact size. I used the same bolt with washers to draw pressure in as to seat the bearings back in the aluminum tube. The difficult part was keeping a sleeve in place to hold the spacer that sits between the two bearings.
