The properties of the perfect crimp are mechanical and electrical. When you crimp the terminal you reduce (squeeze) it by 18%. Squeeze to much will work harden the it. If you don’t squeeze it enough will give poor contact, any air will allow cuprous oxide forming on the wires. Possible short and overheating. I use champ crimp pliers and a reasonable ratchet crimp pliers. Knipex are a good manufacturer, if have used their products in the past.
