Good replacement DVD player.
This device worked as advertised. It works perfectly and installation was a bit tricky. I had to modify installation bay of the laptop for it to properly fit. This could have been as a result of the fact that I was installing it on an HP laptop. Another thing was that it was about half an inch shorter than the original HP DVD bay, so it door was recessed from the original housing but the door still opened. This may not be the case with a non HP laptop.

Works fine as a player, not a burner. I used it for for a couple weeks but started to notice the burn DVDs kept skipping. So, I just use it for playing the DVDs. It fit fine into my PC, but sticks out about 3/4 of an inch. Won't buy again.
