We put on a new deck this summer and have neighbors to the left and right so there’s very little privacy. When designing the deck I can across these and it was a perfect solution. Open when we want and closed when we want privacy. Pretty easy to install as long as you start level. I have 2x6 on 5 1/2” columns so I had to rivit them together which is an option on the wider columns. I still have a few more to do.

I had a blind/screen covering this area, as shown in the last pic. It was okay, but not perfect. It really is easy to install. The pics are of a 12' wide x 8' high section of the deck. I bought 6 boxes and used 2 boxes per section. The hardest part was finding straight boards. I highly recommend this product because the brackets are metal. Other companies make theirs of a plastic material.

Steel product is sturdy. Fairly easy to install brackets. Guide makes measuring easily doable. Had some difficulty installing straps since I have 6x6 posts and that leaves no way to screw into boards so had to use pop rivets and kept getting them too tight. With 6x6 posts it is very difficult to find a place to grasp the straps to raise and lower blinds. When I grasped the board it popped the screws out. Hopefully the pop rivets will loosen some or it will be hard to operate. Looks good and should do the job of cutting wind on porch if it stays together.

Easy to install, even if you are not very handy. You do need a rivet gun. FYI

Looks like they will last, i just installed. Its important to understand the size that your framing. Of the opening needs to be. I had made an opening planning on just installing louvers but thhe spacing causes overlaps if you dont have proper opening. I ened up reframing part of the opening.

I bought these a while back and just now put the project together. Fairly easy to make your own privacy panel. Works well on my decks. Anyone with minimal wood working experience can do these. I must like these because I've purchased 4. Once you put the first one together the rest are a " breeze "......

We have had curtains on our pergola ever since it was built and they have always been a hassle. It was rough getting slapped in the face anytime you sat outside with a breeze. I started looking for an alternative and came across this wonderful bit of awesomeness.Much easier to install than expected and makes a huge difference on sunny evenings when the patio used to be useless. You will need to rivet the brackets together if your posts are bigger than 4x4 but that’s pretty easy too once you practice a couple times.We love our upgraded patio and as the pics show, I’m adding the slats to the other outside wall as soon as my order arrives today!
