Hi, this converter box worked so fast and easier to install than I thought!! And I’m bit of a techtard!!! I was super happy with the quality and results!!! It allowed me to keep my old, very large analog Toshiba TV and covert it to HDMI.It was fast and easy to install. The people at Spectrum told me that the new Xumo box would not work with an old tv. But I said what about a converter? They said “good luck with that.” They didn’t even know it was possible.Ps.. the picture quality and sound were great on my old TV which it’s 20 years old now.Also, when I received the converter they were nice enough to throw in a free 5v “plug in” to connected to a regular outlet. I used an extension cord so I could easily plug in both the converter and Xumo box for power. The setting I used on the converter was already set on NTSC and it was all ready to go. I’m super Happy with this purchase!! It made my favorite TV modern!!! I now can have access to Netflix, Hulu, and everything now!!! Thank you!!!

Great for hooking up all my old toys. Now that I am retired I have all the time to play.

I had a project for a school that was using a Roku Ultra with educational channels, that needed to output to multiple projectors. The Projectors were composite only, no HDMI or component inputs. I had purchased a A HDMI mini but that failed every time I connected it to the distribution block. The HDMI to AV stated it worked with the Roku Devices, it was very easy to setup. Plugged the HDMI to AV into the distribution block and each output to a projector, each projector show the same output as the original which is connected to a Roku Ultra via HDMI. The picture quality is excellent on all 4 projectors. This is placed in a auditorium each projector display the same output to 4 different screen so that all student can easily see the material on whatever screen is present in their section of the auditorium. The screen are control from the Roku device including audio which is very good and in sync with the video. The material ranges from excerpts from text books, write note and or published url material for the specific lesson. The device does not get hot, it does not show band lines it is a crystal clear picture and hand written lessons show very clear on all 4 screens.I have to add a note about guaranteed shipment. My order was guaranteed by Sun January 13 2020, but was delayed and when I called to inquire why Amazon just cancelled and refunded my order, which almost cost me the project I mentioned above. To cancel and order without customer authorization is bad. I had to call 16 times to get a hold of a supervisor, I got lucky because the customer called me back and re hired me to do the job, but because Amazon had cancelled my order I had to tell the customer that it would take additional time to get the parts to do the job luckily the customer agreed. If it were not for the supervisor who gave a gift card and I was able to get the parts the next day I was able to complete this job, even though I lost money due to the delays I was able to recoup the cost of the parts, in other words I broke even. But still Amazon needs to take responsible for offering a guaranteed arrive date and not honoring it or not offer it at all.

I got it to hook up an older tv to my cable box using the hdmi port. It worked absolutely perfect with good resolution until about the 5th day and then the sound stopped working. I've tested the cable box using a Radio Shack adapter from another tv to make sure there was not a problem with the sound and it worked fine. This seems to be a good product but I guess sometimes you buy things that just break far to soon. To bad Amazon does not have any more of the Radio Shack version of this adapter. I still need a adapter but have no idea which ones on the marker are better or worse. At least I can read the captioning I guess.*** UPDATE *** Ok, I waited another week before I contacted Amazon, mostly I'm accustom to various adapters/converters failing or not working the desired way but I still needed one or a perfectly good TV could never be used again. Amazon contacted me within 1 minute of me clicking "call me" (with the volume of business they do I thought that was pretty darn good). They sent me an email with instructions on contacting the 3rd party seller and the instruction were quite simple. Within 4 hours, that's right 4 hours, I received an email from the seller verifying myshipping address and today, 4 days after I filled the complaint I received a new replacement converter. It works perfectly as did the first one. Good resolution and sound. Anytime I receive excellent service (even if the product is questionable, after all electronic components sometimes just fail) I consider it a good experience. So many service departments have such poor records that I seldom bother. Dinger-US (the 3rd party seller) and Amazon are excellent. I highly recommend Dinger-US for their service department and this HDMI-AV converter.

I see complaints that this won't convert RCA > HDMI. It is NOT supposed to! It is designed to convert HDMI from a smart TV to RCA of an old device like an analog stereo. That is my mission! I hooked it up to the HDMI of my TV and I connected it to a power source then connected the RCA cables to my stereo. ...And the TV will not play any sound through the stereo. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong. My TV also has a headphone jack output and I can connect an AUX cable that has RCA on the other end to my stereo receiver and it works wonderfully. But I am told the HDMI connection is higher quality so I wanted to try this. It is zero quality. Does anyone know how to make it work? Thanks.

This works great and was easy hookup. Plugged in a Roku and it turned right on with ease!
