I installed this light bar about 11 months ago on a 98 F150 with flareside bed (narrower than regular bed). It fit perfectly and install via instructions was fairly simple. The adhesive mount is robust and still secure today. All the LEDs and multiple functions (normal, brake, LR signal, backup) still work as new. The LEDs are probably as bright as the stock taillights, if not more so, doubling your rear light output. In short, this product enhances rear visibility significantly for a low cost, is fairly easy to install and seems to last.However, it is not perfect. IMO, it's weakness is the electrical supply - routing the supplied cable bundle to your existing trailer wiring, and the additional wire to taillight housing required for backup light function. First, the supplied cable plug did not fit my Ford OEM plug perfectly - a little force was required to make plugs connect, plus zip ties to secure the plug union. More importantly, I feel it is not smart to route unprotected wiring anywhere in a vehicle, since vibration/sharp edges/heat can cause wiring insulation to fail, resulting in circuit failure. Consequently, I routed my cable inside a 3/8" split loom tube - that black plastic stuff OEM cables are housed in for protection. Local auto shops charge a lot for split loom, so I ended up spending 13 bux here at Amazon for 100 feet of the stuff, when I needed only about 10 feet (which would have cost the same sourced locally). So now I have a lifetime supply of leftover 3/8" split loom.I keep my vehicle garaged, so it is less exposed to the elements than many, which might explain why my Rampage bar still looks and works like new almost a year later. The actual LED light bar in encased in a clear polymer, and appears to be impervious to moisture penetration. The weak point is probably where the wires enter the end. Pay special attention to securing/protecting wiring at this point, to prevent movement, vibration, abrasion and water entry. In addition to split loom I also used a number 3M zip-tie adhesive-backed wiring anchors to immobilize and secure wiring to sheet metal and trailer hitch assembly surfaces.I feel the reliability/longevity of this product (Rampage tailgate light bar) would be greatly enhanced if the supplier included perhaps 10 feet of 3/8" split loom, which would likely increase the cost of the product by only $1.

Easy to install, looks great and gives that extra protection to see brake and turn signals

Overall it's hard to argue with a price this low that you aren't getting what you pay for. In my case however, I've had the unit installed for less than three months and a section of three lights is iffy as they work most of the time however there are times where they either aren't fully illuminated or totally out (black). I love the way it looks, the prices is great however my return window of 90 days doesn't help me with the issue. It's on my daughters truck and she loves it but has noted the three light section working and then not working at times and I'd like to have one that works fully. In our case, you see the lights flash when you hit the unlock on the truck's key fob and the whole bar flashes along with the tail lights. That's how we easily notice that it works on and off just for those three bulbs. Due to the way it is assembled, it doesn't seem like something I'd want to tear into to see if its just a loose wire. Otherwise we love it.Update - I called Rampage and they made a few suggestions that I thought were worth sharing. First, it's best to clean the plug terminals with steel wool or fine sandpaper, both those of the light bar and the female ones for the hitch. Made sure the connection is good there as that's where most of the problems occur. Second, if you have a 12 volt battery laying around or just want to use gator clips from your car/truck battery, you can test each section of the light bar independent of it being plugged into the hitch plug. That will verify that you do or don't have a problem. If everyting checks out (left, right, brake, running and reverse, if your model has it) then you know you've got a faulty plug (receptacle/female) and can either repair it or hardwire the light bar. As was explained to me, the entire light bar is assembled and tested and then all wires, lights and connectors are sealed from the back. LED's almost never burn out and provided the lights were all working when you received the unit, it is unlikely that you have anything more than a connection problem. In my case, damp weather like dew or rain was causing the few lights to go out occasionally so now my problem is solved.Update 2 - Well, this is the third unit I'm having to return due to some of the lights going out. This time it is three bulbs on the right side that function as brake and running lights. For a product designed to make your vehicle look better, it has to opposite effect when bulbs burn out or go out. I'm returning this product for a full refund and will try a different brand. My truck is garaged, hardly driven (25K on an '04) and yet this product keeps breaking.

Awesome addition to your truck. This was mounted in the gap between the rear bumper and just below the tailgate. It indicates braking, turn signal and back up lights. The backup lights are not too bright which gives it more of a cosmetic appearance than functional ability. It is a solid led light bar which would need a relatively flat surface for mounting, as there is not much flexibility along its length. Installation and wiring it up was simple. Highly recommended.

I installed these myself on my Toyota Tacoma 2007 and they work great. I wish the reverse light was a solid white which is the reason for 4 stars. In reverse it’s white and red. I’ve only had them for 2 weeks so we’ll see how the adhesive tape stands up after a year. I’ll follow up with another review

I was really happy with this light bar, it was super easy to install, I love the way it looks at night and having the reverse lighting is good, it actually lights up behind u pretty well at night when backing up, which was supprising. the bar came with a four flat connection, but I cut that off and spliced the wires into the harness so it was permanent. the bar installs with just preapplied 3m adhesive tape and no screws, it also comes with 4 small plates that you can use incase the area under your tail gate isn't flat then you apply the bar to those plates. it came packaged in a nice shipping tube so it wont get dammaged in transit

Works great, bright LEDs the only thing I wish there were more LEDs on the bar, that is why i am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The picture they show of the light on the truck has more lights on it. Fast delivery.

LEDS are no where near as close together as in the pictures, looks really cheap in real life with the lights on. Easy to instal except for the reverse wire so I just left that out. At least I ordered it off here for 70$ instead of the store that was going to charge me 120$ for the exact same thingUPDATE: after 2 years of having it on my truck it stopped working. tried cleaning the plug nothing, checked all the wires to make sure they were in tact and that wasnt the problem. no idea why it stopped working.

Awesome product, but not great for a Tacoma

Looks great & so far works good. Time will be the big factor if it is weather resistant.

I am very happy with this product. I bought this for my 2011 ford ranger and it fits beautifully. All the lights work and was easy to install. It arrived in 2 days, I highly recommend.
