These quality tablets seem very well formulated with high quality ingredients. And I love the fact that they are made in the USA, as most leading brands of chlorinating tablets are...but not all. These full size 3" tablets have a UV-Stabilizer built-in to help protect the chlorine from excess burn off and extend the life of the tablets in warm/hot climates...perfect for Arizona pools. I also like the fact that these tablets are individually wrapped, making handling and storage safer and easier. The formulation of these chlorine tablets [81% available chlorine] seems about perfect for effective water treatment, without the overly harsh chlorine smell/feel/taste. These Pool Essentials chlorine tablets are on par (in quality) with the leading brands, and are a slightly better value. And they seem to last every bit as long as the leading brands, but I will not know for sure until the dog-days-of-summer when chlorine demand is at its highest. These tablets come packaged in a very nice, child safe plastic pail. Please know that the value is not so great when buying 5-pound buckets, but is still decent compared to leading brands, and these tablets are available in other sizes including a 50-pound pail, which is a much better value...and I will be buying the 50-pound bucket going forward. Bottom line, these Pool Essentials 3" chlorine tablets are great! They offer excellent quality, and when buying in bulk, they are a solid value. These quality chlorine tablets will help keep your pool water in great condition all season long. All things considered, I will definitely order again, and as such, I highly recommend...but do yourself a favor and buy in bulk. Thank you for taking time to read my review. At nearly $30 for 5 pounds of tabs these are fairly priced but understand that you are only getting 90% tri-chlor with 10% unknown filler. I have other tabs that are 99% tri-chlor that are more expensive but with more chlorine content. Depending on what the other 10% is, you maybe trading a lower price for additives that may have an adverse effect on your pool's cyanuric acid or calcium levels if tabs are all you use to chlorinate.

I search for chlorine a few times a year. This brand comes in as one of my top five. For ease of use they are all individually wraped,this helps keep the tablets dry and ready to go with less tablet breakage. Top five in value , algae control ,a great value for the money . It comes in a durable water tight container. A great product.

I got these as chlorine burns off pretty quick in sunny Las Vegas. We generally tend to use liquid chlorine, but we add tablets to floats during the hottest months to help keep the levels topped up. Value and quality wise these seem to reasonable and comparable to other brands. The main difference I noticed was that each tablet comes individually wrapped, my first thought was that it's a bite wasteful. However, when it came to using them I realized the benefit –less wasted crumbs in the bottom, less breakage and easier handling. I've found they function just as well as alternatives and the bucket and extra packaging helps keep that strong chlorine smell down.

I prefer to use 3" tablets as they are more slow-dissolving than the 1". I haven't used this brand before, but the chemical makeup is identical to the other's I use. A positive with this brand is that the tablets are individually wrapped. This cuts out the problem of chlorine dust in the air every time you open the container, making them easier to use. I put two or three in the feeder at a time and that lasts me just about a week, so it is cost effective. However, I was very disappointed to find that well over half the tablets in the container were broken! While that doesn't really affect functionality, other than making them dissolve faster, it is really a problem opening the packages and getting the chlorine into the feeder.
