Tetrion All Purpose Powder Filler 1.5kg

Wanted a cheap filler and don't mind mixing it myself to save some money... im a stinge so what 🙄🤣 I've bought a cheaper one before this, I can't remember the name but its the cheapest filler mix you can find on here and its the worst. The worst. I know you can't expect much when paying so little but its full of tiny bits of grit and completely unusable. This filler on the other hand is a dream. Its cheap. Best filler I have ever used.

Personally I find this just as effective as EasiFill but a more convenient quantity.Very forgiving to mix. If you start with too much or too little water it reacts well to adjusting the mixture on the fly. With a standard medium mix (wet but holds its shape) it gives a good 15min working time and smaller fills dry solid white within a few hours.Has pretty much zero shrinkage and sands down well without crumbling. Dries to a brilliant white colour.The two individual pouches of powder mean you don't risk spoiling the whole pack on opening. Although I've found storing an opened bag (or dispensing the powder) in a zip lock bag allows the powder to be stored for a long time without spoiling.

Easy to work with, smooth like icing. Find this easier to handle once mixed than the gypsum based filler I also used. It’s much smoother once it’s on the wall. It sets harder too, so it’s a little more effort to sand - but useful if the repair needs to have that little bit of extra toughness.As other reviews have said, Tetrion must be primed before painting over with emulsion to avoid flashing.For most repairs I think I’d still go to the gypsum filler so that I can paint straight over. But where there is a risk of moisture, or extra toughness is needed, I will use Tetrion.A little bit pricy… but fillers that are any good do tend to be. It’s really good stuff and worth it.

This filler is especially good when you wanted to fix corners on plaster either external or internal.Softer fillers like the commonly used powder mixed ones often chip off whilst sanding whilst this holds intact.It dries hard.I have to get used to not overworking it when I apply. Doing that takes it off. Better to apply more if needed after it dries.I use it especially for that.Had a big corner in the kitchen where the corner bead seemed to have sunk into the wall whilst plastering. Managed to a build out a good amount of wall with crisp edges.
