To connect this to a refrigerator, you would use this filter on the incoming line from the water source to the fridge. Cut water lines perfectly even, push the 1/4" tubing into the end fittings, paying attention to the direction of flow (Flow is from the Cap to the end - the Gold KDF layer would be the last stage water will flow through before reaching the fridge). So overall, the feed water line (from the sink) will enter the fitting on the Cap end. Then the line exiting the KDF end will run directly to your fridge.
