Review: I'll be straight upfront and say I found this product to be a bit of a mess. Advertised as a portable internet radio - it piqued my interest. Obviously I'd realised I'd need some sort of internet connection with it anyway - either paired to a mobile device, connected to wifi at home or using a sim (e-sim only - more in a minute) but I thought it would be an interesting gadget to test out. A specific 'internet radio' device? I'd never seen one before. And I still haven't. This appears to be first and foremost a walkie talkie (the WT in the WT2 product code) - and as such I'd need a corresponding one to test with. It's been a good few years since shouting 'breaker breaker' into my Dukes of Hazzard-themed walkie talkies and I'm not about to start now. So how about the radio? Rough. In fairness - while you're listening it's fine. At least at home on wifi I had a good, stable connection. Audio quality from the built-in speaker was acceptable - not exactly great for music though. Unfortunately there's no headphone socket - bluetooth is your only option here. The listing, marking as favourites and adding services though...yikes. This is quite possibly the worst UI I've used in a modern device - very reminiscent of early mobile phone interfaces. For some reason there's also an option that allows you to add channels via voice which connects to some sort of ChatGPT powered service. So if you're happy with your biometrics going to some random site then have at it. I did try it and it couldn't find the 2 channels I had set my testing goal on anyway. This honestly feels like someone's electronics project thrown into a shell. A cohesive product this is not. And not one you can open either - the battery is not accessible. It does the things it claims - just not very well.
Review: Excellent product, however item was not shipped for over 11 days after purchase. Once shipped item arrived in 3 days.

The Choyong WT2 Multi-Band Smart Internet Radio is very much a walkie talkie first. In fact, when I opened the box I thought I had ordered or received the wrong item. This small walkie talkie has a lot of other functions: it is an intercom, a radio )FM,AM, Short wavw, marine wave, and internet). Unfortunately none of the functions work very welll. The small manual warns that turning on the intercom or walkie talkie means it runs in the background and uses up the battery quickly. I turned it on accidentally while trying to enter my wifi passwreod on the tiny virtual keyboard, and got someone else's conversatio.. I did not understand it, as it was in Chinese, but are walkie talkies suopposed to offewr a measure of prvacy? I could not testt the walkie talkie or internet functions since I only had one handsewt. Wghat I was most interested in was the intewrnet radio. Most of the reason for the 2 star review was the functionig of the internet radio. It dropped signal and/ or disconnected from bluue tooth frewquently. It offers a small numbner of stations but says you can add more from their webn site (no browser is available) or your phone. If you have your phone you have all of the other functions, and access to better internet radio aapps and stations. It does not have a touch screen and entering the wifi password is tedious on trhe tiny virtual keyboard. The radio interface is more sensible but offers few choices, many of which are unavailable. AND, IF TYOU FIND A STATION, IT GENERALLY CUTS OUT WITHIN A COUPLE OF MINUTES. I GOT USED TO SEEING "PLAY ERROR". This is the 4th internet radio I have tried, and far and away the worst. This price ids at the lower end for internet radios, but is still very expensive for the level of functionality.
