### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Mounting the Weather Station outdoors became a hassle and a challenge

I ordered the Weather Station Wireless as a replacement for my existing, limited-function weather station. Everything to monitor the outside environment is installed on the compact Unit. I only needed to attach a couple of components to have it ready to go outside. The Indoor screen is large and can use batteries, but I prefer household electricity. Lots of info is reported, with constant updates. The recorded rainfall is reset nightly. I have seen trace rainfall of 0.06 inches and observed a 1 mph breeze. I compared what I could with my old Weather Station, and this system has similar readings. What's missing is the ability to display the current day's high and low temperatures. I do miss that statistic, which still requires me to use my old system. The solar screen is approximately 2.75" by 2.75". I found that solar charging is ineffective because tall trees, overcast days, and shorter daylight hours surround me. I choose to use AA batteries, but this presents a challenge for replacement because the Weather Station is high, and a ladder is needed to reach them. Mounting the Weather Station outdoors became a hassle and a challenge. I wanted to mount the weather station on top of a chain-link fence, but the included parts are too small to fit the fence's top horizontal pole. A trip to a hardware store had me coming home with a 12" pole extension and a T-clamp to mount on the top rail. I needed help with this, so my handyman came to the rescue. The fence adapter on the Weather Station was hacksawed off, allowing it to be slid over the pole extension. A bit of drilling was needed to start the self-tapping screws to secure the two pieces together. A couple more self-tapping screws were added to insert the pole extension into the T-clamp after finding North.
