It’s ok, I just did not like the shampoo if it gets on your skin and you don’t rinse it fast the Stain on your face forehead can doesn’t come off until the 3rd day !!!! Also the dark brown is very light just buy the black for dark brown hair.

Yesterday, I used this black hair-dye shampoo, and I absolutely loved the result. It comes very well-packaged and includes a shower cap, ear covers to prevent staining, a pair of gloves, and a cape. The product description provides very detailed instructions on how to use it, so please be sure to read them carefully. You must be cautious, as it stains quite badly; any surface it touches will turn black, and it is very difficult to remove. The result on my hair was spectacular—it turned black in just 15 minutes. You might not care for the product's scent, but the characteristic odor disappears once you rinse it out.

This did not turn out as light brown on my ash brown hair. It was almost black with orange roots (grey/blonde turned extremely brassy). I have used Herbish in the past with no issues. I tried to go with this cheaper brand with terrible results. Do not recommend.

Dark brown- Pros: it does a decent job covering my gray. It’s not completely covered, but definitely dampened the brightness and it’s a lot less noticeable. Cons: left my hair a little dry and does not smell good at all; when I first received it, it took about 12-15 pumps before the left side started pumping. Only the right side pumped at first.

The first thing you should know is that this product works—10/10. The second, most important thing you should know, is that it stains. Really bad. Please be careful and learn from me. The hair dye shampoo is really good, and it comes with a small pack of thin, transparent shower caps. I love the concept of dying your hair with shampoo instead of the traditional hair dying. This is far more convenient to me. While I can't speak for longevity yet, I can say that this shampoo is a good excuse to wash your hair while keeping the black dye in your hair. I doubt it will go anywhere unless you wash your hair extremely frequently, which, even then I don't think it will be that easy to get rid of. That is a good thing. For context, back in August 2025, I did a big chop for the first time because I dyed my hair often, fully bleached some areas of my hair skunk stripe style (which killed my curl texture in those areas) + I had long term heat damage from often straightening my hair in my high school and elementary days. So I wanted to do right by my hair and start afresh. As you can see in the beginning of my video, there's some discoloration here and there from years old stubborn hair dye—some of which have moved to the tips of my hair as my hair continues to grow—that never left even when I tried using certain black hair dyes that just didn't stick. It would turn my hair a weird dark green and just wash off. At some point I just let it be and never got around to trying another black dye. Until I came across this dye shampoo. I decided that today was a good opportunity to use the dye shampoo after taking out my hair from braids installed within crochet locs a month ago. Once I applied the dye, I kept it on for 15 minutes (instructions say 10-15 mins) and rinsed it off before washing my hair/applying conditioner. Thorought the session, I stained the bathroom door and some areas of myself...take extra precautions because this thing doesn't come off of you don't immediately wipe off while it's still fresh. In my video, you can see a comment I made about not realizing I stained my door with the product...well, after filming my review and completing my hair routine, I eventually remembered I still didn't clean the door...I came back to find it completely black (see photos) + two of my nails got stained at some point after I took my gloves off... All over my forehead/temples (as shown towards end of video)...the back of my neck, some of my back...and my foot....(again, see photos). I'm hoping that a boiling hot shower will rid of it all. Safe to say, this thing will black out anything that isn't already black lol, and it's hard to come off. I also tried using bleach to wipe off the bathroom door and let's just say...it's way too late for that. This is more permanent than a permanent marker. That being said, I highly recommend this black hair dye shampoo. It works.

I was REALLY skeptical of this product when I first got it. It seemed way too good to be true. There were barely any instructions, and hair dyes need a developer and colourant (separated before use) in order to work. The kit itself comes with the dye bottle, a single pair of gloves, 3 plastic bonnets, and what I think is a shoulder cover. With all that said, what makes this product genius, is that those two main elements are actually separated WITHIN the bottle. It's only when you pump do they come out in two separate steams, that you then must mix within' your (gloved) hand. And as it turns out, THIS WORKS PERFECTLY. I have REALLY stubborn grey hairs. Normally if I dye my hair, my greys just get tinted instead of actually dyed. But this product did an INCREDIBLE job of actually DYING my hair. I have not had solid coloured hair in life 10 years, and I'm totally obsessed with the results. The process is SOOO much easier and faster then using regular boxed dyes. ESPECIALLY if you're someone who has THICK hair. It was soooo nice not having to deal with all the preemptive mixing, and worrying if I bought enough boxes to fully cover my hair. There is A LOT of product in this bottle. For my thick, mid-length hair, I used about half the bottle. Now that I'll only have to do root coverage moving forward, I imagine this will last me another 2-4 root touch-ups. It's an incredible value for the amount of dye your getting. As for the product itself, once again I'm extremely impressed. This was not nearly as drying nor damaging as other hair dyes I've used. My curls actually look like they've been revitalized a bit? Which is nuts. The smell is also less abrasive and a little more pleasant then normal dyes. It's still strong, but has a much more earthy and natural smell. The only negative thing I will say, is that this dye stains REALLY badly. Even your white porcelain kitchen sinks aren't completely safe (there is still a faint spot I can't fully remove on my sink from it). So please remove or cover anything you don't want to get stained. It is a nightmare to try and get out. I loved this hair dye, I can happily recommend it! I'm not sure how long the colour will last, but considering how strong the pigment is, I do think it'll continue to look really nice even as it fades.
