I had an old pair of these, but i cut into one too many live wires, and they finally were unusable. I came to amazon just to find these because they are the only kind i like. The curved handle is nice, and the full cable stripper in the front is awesome. It lets me reach back into boxes to strip wires with ease. If you are looking for a new style of wire strippers for household electric work, these are the best you can buy.

Skip all the "multi tool" strippers you see advertised, as an electrician these are the ONLY strippers I use. I can use others but for day to day work these are the absolute best I;ve found and come to rely on. The curved and coated handles make them really comfortable for all day jobs making up houses we've roughed in and the locking jaws are simple and can be deleted if you want or for me I like to lock the tool closed so it fits in a specific pocket on my bags where I always reach for it.

Yess!! Good, ergonomic design. My most-used tool for rewiring an entire remodel with two sub-panels and 30 circuits. Ideal makes other good electrical tools as well--all well designed. I prefer it to the Klein stripper--which is good--and certainly better than some others. Particularly like the 12 and 14 ga romex stripping function. One can take off 14 inches of insulation in chunks. The bending holes work well, after one learns precisely how far to strip the wire for various switches and receptacles.

Order 2 and return the one that's lose before opening. They are hit and miss but can tell if the idk what's call pivot screw is gonna come lose or not. Just see if it has play before taking out packaging. Once that starts to get lose never really can trust em not to nick the wires
