It works! Zapped flies are stinky, but dead!
This thing works! I had a nasty fly infestation and this gizmo really worked. The flies do stink when you zap them but totally worth it to get rid of them. I mostly used it against the window where the flies were gathered. Satisfying. LOL.

It's okay, not great, just okay
I got this bug swatter to fight the fruit flies we get periodically rehabilitating wildlife. The design is pretty good, the tilting head and extension handle. The handle gives it good reach and between the extension and the tilting head, it is brilliant for getting those little buggers on the ceiling. The power is more than sufficient. I swear that I can actually feel recoil on the thing. As if it is zapping so hard that I feel it blow back. I don't know if it is psychosomatic or real, but it is oddly satisfying. The biggest thing I would like to see addressed on this tool is to put the wires closer together. I suppose if I was only trying to hit full size houseflies or larger bugs, this would be sufficient. For fruit flies or biting gnats, they fly through the wires as often as they hit the wires. The next thing I would like to see corrected is the extension handle. It is a separate piece that must be put on and taken off again. I don't know about all of you, but I am a lose stuff kind of guy. If I take that handle off and put it somewhere then never remember where I put it. I won't find it again for a year while doing the annual household purge of things I don't use anymore. If the handle could simply pull out from the permanent handle instead, that would be great. Speaking of losing things, the charger and the base are different pieces. The thing does not charge through the base, it charges directly through the handle. You plug the charging wire into the side of the handle. That means the standup base is another separate piece that can get lost. I would much rather have it be tethered to the wall with the charging wire. That way when I take it off the stand I know exactly where I left it, it's plugged into the wall. My last complaint, which is really not a big issue, just my personal preference. The switch is a three position switch. The first is no light and you have to use the button on the side to put power to the wires. The second on position is constant on with the light. My preference would have been, constant on without the light and constant on with the light. I don't care for the button on the side to power up the grid. Overall I think this is a decent little zapper with some innovative features but the issues with it just make it not the best choice for me.I am holding on to it because we get horrible flies in the area during the summer months and I am sure it will be much better for them than for gnats. I will use it along with the trusty Bug-a-Salt to control the summer bighting flies.

A good fly swatter.
I ordered the ZHOU HE Rechargeable Electric Fly Swatter because we live in the country and that means flies. This fly swatter does a great job. I love the tilt angle head and extender that allow you to get them on the ceiling. There is no noise unless it is in contact with a fly. Then you can hear it but it is not an alarming decibel level. There can be some odor associated with its use. The longer a insect is attached and sizzling, the more odor you will notice. The battery lasts a decent amount of time between bugs, but I like to charge it once a week just to be safe. I like the grey color instead of the white ones I see. I think this swatter is a good value for the price.

High-Proof Power for Unwanted Guests
🥃 The Palette (Vibes & Function) Flavor Profile: Tactical Utility | High-Voltage | Telescopic Reach | Rechargeable Convenience The Aroma: If your peaceful afternoon of reading and sipping is being interrupted by a buzzing "villain" in the room, this isn’t just a tool—it’s the hero of the story. It smells like victory and looks like a piece of high-end tech rather than a flimsy drugstore plastic swatter. 🥃 The Pour: Why It Hits the Mark This zapper is a "cask strength" solution for flying pests. While most swatters feel like toys, this one feels like a well-crafted instrument. The rotating head is a masterclass in ergonomics—it allows you to lay the mesh flat against the ceiling or a wall, meaning there’s nowhere for a fly to hide. 💕 What Hit the Palate Just Right The Extension: The telescopic handle is sturdy and balanced, not "wobbly" or cheap. It gives you the reach needed for those high corners without requiring you to climb on furniture. The Zap: The "proof" is in the power. This delivers a very satisfying, instant response that handles everything from large flies to those tiny, elusive gnats that other zappers often miss. Smart Design: I love the Type-C charging. No more hunting for odd batteries; it tops off quickly and holds a charge through a heavy "session." The Attraction: The purple light isn’t just decorative; it actually draws them in, making it effective as a stationary zapper when you’re tired of the "scavenger hunt." 😕 Where the Proof Fell a Little Flat Storage Profile: Because it’s a bit more robust and features a telescopic handle, it takes up a slightly larger footprint in the utility drawer than the cheap, flat versions. The Sound: Be prepared—when it makes contact, you’ll know. It’s a bold "pop" that might startle a sleeping pet (or a very focused reader). 🥃 The Finish: What Lingers The Rechargeable Electric Fly Swatter finishes strong. It’s reliable, powerful, and the build quality suggests it will last through many "seasons" of use. For anyone who wants to defend their reading nook with efficiency and a bit of a "beast mode" edge, this is a top-shelf investment. Final Sip: Don’t let a fly ruin your favorite chapter. One quick "pour" of this zapper, and you can get back to your book in peace.

Kills bugs quickly
I'm loving this thing so far. We, unfortunately, have gotten some moths in our laundry room so we're using this to get rid of them. It works quite well and very quickly. There's no waiting, once a critter hits this, it's gone. There are a couple things I would change/update. The handle to make it longer is a separate piece so you do have to take it on and off as needed, which requires additional storage, but it attaches and detaches easily. The top outer framing is quite thick, so you can't really trap a bug on the wall and have it work when flush to the wall, it isn't even close to touching. You have to get the bug off the wall to reach it. But it works great mid-flight. The bugs also stay on the swatter for the most part and come right off when turned over, etc. It does smell when the bugs are killed. A very burnt flesh kind of smell, so be prepared for that (not sure how this could be rectified) but really, all I care about is that it kills bugs quickly and this does. It's light weight and self explanatory to use. The price is acceptable.
