I recommend this travel guide for anyone who is traveling to South Korea, or wishes to gain more knowledge on this country. Inside, there is anything from fun facts, must see places, pictures to view, and even quizzes to take to help you better retain everything you are reading.

Each chapter is easy to follow with succinct paragrahps, so didn't feel like reading a textbook. Pop quizzes are followed which makes the book more engaging. I'd say the book would be suitable for kids or teens who wants to build foundational knowledge of South Korea. nice graphics btw.

I was quite interested in this book as I live in Korea. It gives a fairly broad intriduction to the country but not detailed . Just about Ok for someone who knows nothing about the country. It is big and colorful with a mulltiple choice quiz section at the end of each section. The book is sunny and doesnt dwell on any negative aspects if the country which is fine. However sometimes it us completely wrong. For example tigers have been extinct in Korea for over 100 years and no longer wander the forests as the book so cheerfully states.

However, the playful quizzes and facts don’t fully match the writing style, creating a slight tonal disconnect. While the writing style is more straightforward, it still pairs well overall and makes the book enjoyable and easy to follow.
