A balm is thicker with no water and is oil-based. So it’s slightly hard & waxy feeling without being greasy and kind of layers on as it ‘melts’. I use a very small scraper to take it out of the container so it’s a more hygienic removal from the jar. All areas had good results with discomfort melting into comfort and feeling better hydrated. This balm is made in China.
