Great brand.
I have their Olympic bar and a bumper plate set from them, wanted the smaller plates to complete the set. Couldnโt be happier with their products. Solid plates.

Good-looking set to match your bumpers.
Fractional plates are extremely useful in a few scenarios: 1) single-arm isolation training 2) continual progressive overload of weak muscles 3) overcoming difficult plateaus 4) on cable machines that make large or inconsistent jumps between weight plates For example, suppose you're doing Egyptian lateral raises. An untrained lifter may begin that lift with a mere 5lbs. If the next plate jump is 10lbs, you can't very well double your weight and expect to make good progress. You need smaller increments. Get yourself a GymPin or similar product designed to act as the cable stack pin AND a place to hold more weight plates. Then put these fractional plates on as needed for any weight between 5lbs and 10lbs. Doing this, your progress and increases will be far more consistent and predictable. As for these fractional plates, they have a great look and feel. The colors are as vivid or more vivid in person as in the pictures, which is not usually the case with weight plates--a pleasant surprise. The print is not raised, so if the print wears off, you won't know what the weights are. Only time will tell how durable the print will be. One potential downside for these plates is their size, which is not problem at all for home use. In fact, I much prefer this size for home use. But if you want to throw some fractional plates in your gym bag to take to a commercial gym, however, you may like a smaller form factor, which means getting all-metal plates--iron or stainless steel. As measured on a kitchen scale: (The variances as noted below are fine with me, especially for weights this small. Inconsequential) 0.25lb = 0.246lb (both) [.004 variance; -1.6%] 0.5lb = 0.502lb (both) [.002 variance; +0.4%] 0.75lb = 0.758lb for one and 0.762 for the other [.008 & .012 variances; 1% & 1.6%] 1lb = 1.004lb for one and 0.994 for the other [.004 and .006 variances; 0.4% & 0.6%]

Nice addition to the home gym
This was not an addition that I HAD to have for the gym as I am not someone vain enough to throw a fractional plate on a Deadlift or Squat so I can move my 1RM up .5 lbs. But there are uses for these little guys outside of that. The main thing I got them for were for the 2 1 LB plates. I have an EZ curl-bar that inexplicably weights 18lbs so I can throw two 1 lb plates on the bar before I load it up to make the math much easier. They also come in handy with going up a fraction of a lb on a dumbbell bar set for movements where a fraction increase can be a lot. I measured each plate on my kitchen scale and all were within .001 of the labeled weight with the total coming significantly close to the promised 5lb total. The plates feel good in hand and should be durable. They do have that distinctive new weights smell so if you are using these in a room in your house you may want to air them out or try and clean them.

Despite the cost, the weights are well-built, enjoyable to use, and I still recommend them!
I've introduced Mikolo Fractional Weight Plates to my home gym to facilitate breaking plateaus, particularly when increasing my bicep exercise weight by increments less than 10 pounds each time. It's a convenient way to ease into heavier weights. I appreciate the color-coded and rubber-covered design, providing a visually appealing and practical aspect to the weights. The weight is also very accurate. However, the pricing is a concern for me. At $40 for 5 pounds, it seems excessive, leading me to deduct one star from my rating. Despite the cost, the weights are well-built, enjoyable to use, and I still recommend them!
