Great choice
These pliers are awesome. They are sturdy and reliable when I’m fishing from my kayak. I never had to worry about loosing them.

Excellent Quality
This has become one of my favorite brands for fishing gear: excellent quality items, I have 3 of these now with one being a different model. Great grip on whatever you're using on and comfortable on the hand. They haven't rusted after a few uses in salt water environment, of course taking care of them but some other brands rust no matter what.

Great plier
Very well made. Light, stylish and durable. Love it. Used it for dehooking fish and cutting braid. One plier to rule them all!

Mind the Case
The polymer style of case that comes with the red pliers does not rotate. Pay attention to that if you want to carry your pliers sideways- you can’t do it with the plastic sheath. Otherwise these pliers are kind of what you expect for the price. Not bad, not amazing, but okay value.

Multi Function Fishing Pliers - I LIKE
I bought these pliers for a Canadian Fly-in fishing trip. They worked GREAT. They are well made, fit nicely in my hand and besides having a line cutter, they can also be used as a split ring tool. At first, I thought the pliers did not close tightly. Upon further inspection, the line cutter was holding them open ever so slightly. I believe this is by design. If you press a little harder the pliers close nicely and you can grip fishing line etc. I used the cutter a few times and it worked just fine. I did use the split ring function to replace a treble hook on my favorite lure. In just a few minutes the hook was changed and I was back on the fish. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE - The Pliers come with a holster which I put on my belt for convenience. The holster is on a swivel and with the heavy clothing I was wearing, it would frequently turn upside down. I tried to cinche is with a wire tie, but that just pulled it out of the snap swivel. It was easy to push back in and I dealt with the swivel action. I'm going to apply some construction adhesive to the snap swivel so it stays in the upright position. I Liked the pliers and would buy them again.

KASTKING Fishing Pliers - 2 THUMBS UP! A MUST BUY FOR ANY FISHERMAN
So, I was looking for a pair of new fishing pliers and came across the KASTKING Cutthroat 7” Fishing Pliers. I did a fair amount of research and decided KASTKING would be the fishing pliers for me. Several reasons led me to this result. 1- The orange textured rubber grip handles ARE A MUST plus the color looks great and easy to see if you drop them. 2- Corrosion Resistant Stainless Steel corrosion resistant 420 stainless steel coated with a tough Teflon coating for added protection. I needed a pair of fishing pliers that are built to last all different types of enviornments 3- Tungsten Carbide Cutters cut through everything and are placed in the perfect spot easy to lineup. 4- Multi-Function Jaws – Grab and remove any fish hook, cinch down a knot, crimp a weight, and a hook pull are just a few things this awesome pair of fishing pliers can do! 5- Sheath and Lanyard - This was included too! I needed a way to clip the KASTKING pliers to my fishing backpack, plus it has the cool KASTKING logo on it too so I can show it off to everyone. The only thing I would recommend is to change the clip to a stronger type or a velcro clip so it locks in tight without too much play. In conclusion, I am glad I found these fishing pliers and I am really happy with the purchase. I gave this 5 stars and I recommend this to any fisherman who wants a high quality product that is built to last and able to withstand the elements. Thanks and congratulations KASTKING! you got yourself a NEW FAN and CUSTOMER!

Pliers that just flat out do their job and fit back into their holder easy.
Beginner Kayak fisherman always ask what should I buy first for my new kayaking adventures. 1. Buy a really good and comfortable life jacket. One you will wear for those 14 hour days on the water. Winter fishing they keep you warmer and help insulate but in the summer not so much but will give you a fighting chance if something bad happens. Buy a good one. 2. A good paddle and a backup "skulling paddle". Either make one or buy one off here. Basically a hand paddle to keep with you because you will at some point knock off you paddle that you forgot to leash. you can paddle a kayak with a hand paddle. 3. Buy you a decent fishing rod and reel. Don't have to be the most expensive because a decent reel will still land a fish. A decent rod will still land a fish. An ultra cheap rod and reel might land a decent fish but also may cost you the fish of a lifetime. I don't buy top of line stuff anymore because I have lost more rods and reels in the lakes and rivers than I care to admit. But I still buy good quality that I know will help me catch fish not hurt me. 4. A good set of pliers and a knife. You can remove an embedded hook, cut line, remove hook from fish, make a peanut butter sandwich , cut bait or most of all cut anything in case of an emergency if you get in a sketchy situation. 5. Buy a good kayak. Don't go to a big box store to buy a kayak. If you like kayaking you will want to upgrade the next season anyway so spend a few hundred more and one from a shop that will let you demo it first. A box store kayak won't be worth much when you sell but a good quality kayak will hold it's value.
