I bought two different styles of these small 0.8L Hugo Frosch ones, and my boys (4 & 6) sleep with them almost every night in winter. The only disappointment I had is that the material the bottles are made of is much more rigid than any hot water bottle I am used to. It's a hard plastic. It does soften up once the hot water is in (& yes, I use much hotter water than you're supposed to), but the material is still far too hard and inflexible to use in the time-honored way for tiny BABIES to lie on. My husband is German & grew up over there, & he had taught me this use of hot water bottles(So I found a different German hot water bottle for my newborn to use on a different website. For babies you need a very soft flexible material if they're going to lie on/against it.)
