BEST GRE BOOK EVER!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
This is the MOST EXTENSIVE GRE vocab list I have ever found and, trust me, I have searched a lot since my goal is a PHD program in English at a top-notch university. If you learn these words you will need no more than 5 minutes to complete the vocab questions on the GRE which leaves you with 25 min for the reading comprehension questions. And this is quite auspicious/propitious (check your GRE vocab!) for your verbal score. You need to study though! Do not think that skimming over these words once or twice will magically bestow brilliant vocab skills on you. Therefore, as others have pointed out, you need to give yourself at least a month to prepare.Either way, if you do not have at least a month ahead of you, how high of a score are you actually expecting to get? When someone tells me they have just a few weeks to study, I already know they are not being serious enough about their grad school application. Such students are bound to get mediocre results and will eventually end up in a mediocre program, probably with little funding and lots of TA stints that will tremendously hinder their research, possibly procrastinate their grad studies, and protract their dissertation project. Yes, the repercussions of a mediocre GRE score can be deleterious (another one from the list!) to your overall grad school experience and professional performance in life!So if you are up for mediocre preparation and mediocre results, better save yourself the money, go to the library, and get one of the standard GRE prep books with about 200 words. THIS BOOK IS FOR SERIOUS STUDENTS WITH SERIOUS INTENTIONS!!What I MOST like about it is the MP3 files because you can listen to them any time any place. Just upload them to your I phone, I pad, or MP3 player and listen to them when you are walking to/from campus, going to/from work (even at work!), or just shopping, or working out at the gym! Every minute you listen to these words they get imbedded in your brain which is a much more effective way of memorizing than going over a list of words only when you are at home, at a desk, etc.So do not hesitate! If you are serious about your GRE score, seriously invest in yourself by buying this book!

Disappointing and limited.
First, it was late. Second, it says "19 CDs", but there really aren't 19 CD, there is some downloadable content. Also, the downloadable content is not very usable. Each "CD" is 1 giant MP3, so you get 19 large MP3s. Each MP3 has many, many words. But there is no way to concentrate on hard words or remove words you already understand. There is no way to shuffle or mix up the content, because large word lists are combined in to 1 MP3. It's also expensive for what you get. I was very disappointed.

The best of the audio files of vocabulary on Amazon
I purchased this vocabulary mp3 from Amazon and two other audiobooks about vocabulary from Audible. I rate this one by Franklin best. Two reasons:1. It saves time by skipping spelling on which other audiobooks waste time. After all, GRE examines more meaning than spelling.2. This book also has Kindle version. Even if I do not know the spelling, I can quickly search the book and make notes. Other audiobooks do not have such Kindle companion.

not advanced enough to call it GRE prep
These words are not advanced enough to call this "GRE Vocabulary Builder". About 1 out of every 20 is what I would consider GRE level. I would highly recommend this product to someone who speaks English as a second language, to improve fluency, but if you are a native speaker of English who is serious about trying to get into graduate school (meaning you already have been through some college), I doubt you will find this challenging. My background: I have a BFA in painting; I am NOT very literate or well-read, and I still find this too easy. I have been using Manhattan prep "advanced" flash cards, and actually learning quite a lot. But it's not an audio collection, so you can't use them on the go.

Woman has a LISP
I really think the delivery method they use and the extensive vocabulary make this book/audio well worth the money. I have two concerns, however. On the audio there are two different voices; one female and one male. While I like the concept, I think they need to replace the woman's voice with someone who doesn't have a lisp. Seriously?! The other thing I'd like to hear is at least the spelling of the words on the audio, if not spelling AND origin. Otherwise I think it is a very effective learning tool.

and all that we got so to hear or carry the book with you is not the best way. If I needed to learn from the ...
No, I expected each word to be on its own MP3 audio, with the text of the word and short sentence on usage but that turned out to not be what it's. one CD loaded into an mp3, and all that we got so to hear or carry the book with you is not the best way. If I needed to learn from the book, there was no reason for me to buy the MP3. So yes, I am happy with this poor compilation.
